“If you don’t mind a trail of dirty clothes to the hamper. The odd game of night poker with the boys. Might need a man cave for a pool table. My pinball machine collection. Oh, and my favorite band posters.”
“Whatever you like.” Pandora chuckled as she took her napkin to wipe her eyes, trying not to smudge her makeup. She couldn’t help but stare at the photo of their new digs. He kissed her forehead as he laughed about her fake marriage proposal.
“Living in sin has a nice ring to it, don’t you think?” he grinned at her. She smacked his arm with a laugh.
“I think I can handle that just fine. But let it be known, here and now. The garage is mine.” she warned him.
Across from them, Jane burst into happy tears, claiming that this was better then a soap opera. That set Pandora laughing, reaching across the table to squeeze the blonde’s hand. “Want to be my landscaper? I don’t have a clue about outdoorsie plants and flowers and stuff and it looks like it could use that special touch.”
Pandora realized, as she made the offer to Jane, that she’d gained a very valuable thing beside the love of the man beside her…she’d made a friend, all on her own.
Jane squealed when Pandora asked if she would consider being her landscaper for the new house. The cheeky blonde insisted on getting a look at the house that was on the phone, and immediately started to get ideas on what sorts of plants would suit the yard that they were going to have. Jason peered over Jane’s shoulder at the picture of the house and nodded to show he was impressed.
“That’s quite a home there. Kinda place you can raise a family.”
Hearing this Brock could only show a light hearted smirk, especially after the meeting on the beach with their daughter from the future. Brock drew his arm tighter around Pandora, and replied. “All in good time. I want to enjoy Pandora to myself for a while. I think she has a cat though.” You could tell his memory on such things as animals was a bit off.
Just then the band started to play a song that was close to Brock’s heart. He eased out of the booth and then extended his hand to Pandora.
“As this is your last night…I wish to ask if I may have this dance?”
If she accepted, he would lead her out to the dance floor, and place his right hand around to the small of her back, the left hand gripping her right. Staring down into her eyes he whispered.
“Let this be the first dance of many.”
To any watching the couple, you would think they were on their honeymoon, celebrating their last night in paradise. Little did anyone know the truth. Love was given another chance to live within them. Forever bound…there is always Hope.
