The Power Within
- Taru’s Power Armour
CharlotteCarrendar;- The white delivery van was now virtually surrounded by the Avenging angels motorcycle crew, and the leader it seemed came to be up alongside Taru’s driver’s side window, shouting out over the roar of the motorcycle engines. (??)”What you want to do?” Taru leant partially out of the driver window, and shouted back. “Sand sent us to this side of town to find the Avenging Angels, to take us to their weapons depot.”- Sora leaned over from his seat, after seeing the motorcycles on his side of the van, and tried to get past Taru, who had to push right back into her seat, to allow him to speak. “The guy from the Fuyu no arashi sent us down this way. Can you take us to your leader…Larry?” Taru then pulled out the card that the Sand had given her, that had two words imprinted on it. “Sand told us to give you this.”- Perhaps it was coded, and maybe this biker knew its meaning. It was a shot worth trying. Sora pushed himself back to his seat, as Taru watched and waited for the biker’s reaction. Would they lead them back to the weapons depot? Taru didn’t feel revealing who they were at this stage was warranted.
Raven continued to float, allowing the winds of the forest to carry her higher. Arms spread outward; she appeared to spin slowly, her hair swirling about her, and a look of peace, serenity upon her young features. The sensation had her toes and the tips of her fingers tingle, like small jolts of electricity fed through her nerves. Sure enough, it surprised Rotal, but not the Master it seemed, who again, used the tape recorder, to speak the words, that he simply could not say. The rebellious voice upon the tape, spoke so casually, and then with a bit of surfie speak, before Raven snapped out of her hypnotic spell, and glanced over at Rotal and the Master. Now fully aware of her surrounds, she lowered back to the ground, her hair falling and settling upon her shoulders. Her mask was slightly crooked, and she reached up to adjust it so it was straight once more. The tape recorded voice went on to tell her, that part of this lesson, was to understand, that those of the Clan of darkness, needed to be able to read and feel people’s auras. To ascertain if they are of good, or evil, to tell if they had murderous intent, and if so, to avoid, and use the skill to save themselves and those close to them. Raven understood this, however to feel an aura and see it are to different things. It was a lot for the young bebilith to learn, considering she was capable of speaking to mind of her kin. But this was something new entirely. Biting her bottom lip, she made a promise to herself, that she would do all she could to master this. Then, the crack of a twig, the brake of a branch. Sounds of many footsteps, heavy and soft. The students of the class, had been behind trees and rocks, now revealing themselves to Rotal and Raven, who was startled to see so many. Without question they approached the Master for the next stage of the lesson. A history lesson of the clans. -(Tape recorder)”In today’s time and place we of the darkness clan had chosen to pick certain jobs like beggars, janitors, grave night watchmen, grave diggers, sewer cleaning crews, night patrol men, workers, gardeners, junk men, scavengers and yes even a cleaning crew we are the clan that works in the lowest positions ever, we are the people no one pays attention to, no one looks at us or bothers to care for us we are those that hides in the shadows and we are the clan that has access to anything or any place…” The words spoken by the cassette tape, certainly seemed to ring true, since Raven was one that lived and worked with the flusher people of the tunnels. Doing the lowest of the low in professions. With her mask, and her tattered clothes, few would ever guess, she was a Carrendar. Raven sat down on the ground, and listened intently to the teachings of Mute. The history was a sad one, but one she actually could respect. The world was built upon the backs of the Clan of Darkness. The most organised and proficient. It was clear now. Those who thought they had true power….really had nothing. A revelation. Indeed. If only Baldrick was here to listen to this. What would her Grandfather say? The truth to their power was to remain hidden behind the cloaks of rags, and the masks. The tape recording asked if there were any questions before continuing. Raven paused and looked around her at the many gathered students, and slowly raised her hand. “What if we can’t mask…..what we become?”- She meant about her entire body changing, from bipedal to Arachnid. It did happen, and there would be times, she would not be able to control it.
In dead nation, Cookie had a choice to make for the weapon she would use against the Meats. Tapping the edge of her mask, deep in thought, she came to an idea. “A Machete. Something I can wield, to slice off their heads. Because that kills them, right? Right, Rider?”- The young masked girl asked hopefully. <3>
DarksiedtheLegend: -As Taru would try and explain to the bikers about who sent them and even Sora tried to join in the conversation as he then said the words leader Larry before Taru tried to hand the card as the leader of this group just replied-(??)”Oh listen here see Larry ain’t our boss and as for Sand we were going to pick you up spider people…but since you got a truck then let’s see if you can follow us…” –The biker didn’t even bothered to take the card as he then spoke to the biker behind him-(??)”Tell the boys this is a package deal so lose the hooks.” –To which the second biker just nodded as he pulled the brakes to wait for the delivery truck to move ahead while he waited for the two other bikers following the delivery truck from the rear as he then told them the news before they started to drive a bit faster than the delivery truck as the biker leader looked at Taru before saying-(??)”We take you to Larry but that is if you can follow…” –At the end of his sentence did the biker leader revved by his engines and speed ahead of the delivery truck as the bikers would begin their game of follow the leader as they drove past traffic always checking to be sure that Taru was still on their tail ever turning around those tight corners passing through various neighbourhoods before eventually entering the industrial area of Lorewall just South of it passing various other factories before stopping in front of iron gates which had the number four hundred and thirteen scribbled on the stone walls surrounding this factory and the only way in was the iron gates now if one were to look through these gates and be careful not to touch the gates the signs next to the gates clearly state that these are electrocuted…but if were to see beyond these gates one would notice that this factory had a large path of snow to go thru before reaching the menacing look factory one could commit that it looked like a castle with its menacing towers that ever so often spew out black clouds, with various spires that looked like they could touch the skies or heavens, to its menacing high walls and even its menacing looking gates that seemed to be with thorns and spikes…one could say this massive structure might make the delivery truck that Taru and Sora were in looked tiny and before they could continue did the biker leader spoke up.-
(??)”Welcome to the War castle Sand’s own military weapon installation…. this is as far as we can go…good luck if you live…let’s go boys, this is not our business.” –As the bikers would then drive away leaving the Carrendars to enter the War castle now back to Shangri-La would the master note that it was the new student that asked the question –(Raven) “What if we can’t mask…..what we become?” –To which the master would pull out a tape before removing the current one and replacing it with his new one as female spoke this time-(Tape Recorder)”Alright dad here goes….now if one were unable to hide their form, we can always rely on various tactics for example there a certain members who don’t hide behind their masks just to show to the world that they are horrendous in appearance and actions so that the rest who hides behind masks can infiltrate the world without anyone question what they are….originally this has been a tactic that those behind masks use on daily base…but while I’m guessing whoever asks this might be late to the class cause usually my father starts people off with the lesson of hiding…or finding that hidden spot but nowadays I think he starts with the mediate lesson then history then his other lessons…bye for now little ones I wish all the best and to actually meet you.” –The master would then remove the tape before putting a new tape and pressed play as a second female spoke out-(Tape recorder)”Nya nya…my cousin is to weak to speak so I’m taking his place nya so meooow let me introduce you to your teacher nya….one of the numerous doppelgangers of the previous master of the darkness clan nya and my cousin master too meow…the man that stand before you is a man known as the mute nya nya you can tell he doesn’t speak so meow meow he does this thing meow as you may notice various members of spoken meow and those he consider worthy enough to speak meow but remember in order to be a member of this clan you mustn’t be puuurfect. Fighting and all that will be taught eventually nya…the most important thing now is what mute is planning to teach you nya…so nya nya nya train hard nya bye nya.Is that okay cousin nya?” (?)”My ribs! My ribs! You are hurting me!” –To which mute would then press stop as he seemed to look like he was laughing but no sounds were coming out from him before he regained his composure as he remove this tape and get another this time a man spoke-(Tape recorder)”Now history is a funny thing only those who wins the wars makes the history but that’s not out case…we make history even if we are the ones being killed remember that when you are losing the battle…okay time for you to continue your meditation…class dismiss I will see most you on the hour of the wolf? Isn’t that midnight?”-To which mute would pressed stop and slowly get up as he started to head towards the waterfall while at the down the drains shop would Paige make her decision of choosing a machete and asks if that cutting the head will kill them as Rider scratched the back of her head before answering-(Rider)”Normally I would prefer to kill them from a far but a machete could work so let’s see if we could get you one…hmm how about a shield to go with that machete?”-As Rider would return back to the shop area of the down the drains shop as she looked through the various posters of weapons posted on the walls as various members of the flusher group were busy removing the Otyugh posters and some of them even removed some of the pieces of weapons being offered as some would place some silver and copper bits on the counter only for the igloo of clothes that was near the counter moved close to the silver and copper bits before a shirt would fall on the silver and copper bits as the igloo of clothes moved its way back into position would the coin bits disappear along with the shirt.-
CharlotteCarrendar: – Taru held the card out between two fingers, for the lead rider, to take it and possibly read it, to see that what they spoke was in fact true. Sora had put in his two cents, but it was Taru who had paid heed to Sand’s words, that they were not to use bully boy tactics in their address. Taru held one hand tight on the steering wheel, her foot planted firmly on the brake, as she strained to hear the bike leader. What he said, however, was not exactly what she wanted to hear. -(??)”Oh listen here see Larry ain’t our boss and as for Sand we were going to pick you up spider people…but since you got a truck then let’s see if you can follow us…” Taru mouthed the words ‘Spider people’ , while Sora grimaced. So much for keeping their identities a secret. The biker refused the card, and Taru drew her hand back into the truck, tossing it back at her Brother, who caught it and pocketed it. “We just hang on to this.” Sora said quietly, while Taru looked back out the driver’s side window. -(??)”We take you to Larry but that is if you can follow…” The White haired bebilith simply nodded, and placed both hands on the steering wheel, while her brother suddenly snapped on his seat. “Something tells me that, this is not going to be a motorcade.” Well, at least he was right about that. The leader of the bike gang revved his engine high, and then took off at speed, darting in and out of the traffic. Weaving, driving with the skill of a hollywood stuntman on crack. Taru took a hand off the steering wheel and went to a gear shift, as she planted her foot down on the excelerator. Sora was thrown back in his seat, as the truck went from 0 – 60 in 8 seconds. “Shhhhhhiiiiiitttttt!” The tyres of the truck squealed, and another gear change, Taru was driving the bus like a woman possessed. Which was kind of funny, since she is. Droplets of black trickled out her nose, and she licked it up with her tongue, while her brother held on for dear life, gripping the hand grips at his door. Taru went to overtake a lorry, when a bus was coming the other way. “LOOK OUT!!” Sora screamed and closed his eyes, bracing for impact, as Taru gripped the steering wheel, completing a vicious left hand lock, the bus actually mounting the curb, in an effort to avoid the delivery truck. The haiwain hoola girl on the dash, was bouncing back and forth, shaking her little plastic hips, while Taru had a steely look of determination upon her face. “We’re gonna dieeeeee!”- Sora wailed, his eyes closed tight, squinting, hanging on with all his might, the veins in his arms standing up rigid. Just then, Taru slammed on the brakes, and they were out the front of some gothic looking castle like structure. The jolt of the Truck having the brakes applied, threw Sora forward, and his hair well covered his eyes. “We’re here.” Taru said, opening the truck driver’s side door, and getting out, climbing down the side stairs, till she jumped onto the bitumen. What stood before them were large ornate iron gates. And the number four hundred and thirteen, on the stone walls, that surrounded the factory. Billowing black smoke filled the air from chimney stacks that dotted the roof line. The castle structure was truly colossus, and even Sora was gobsmacked by its size and grandeur. .-(??)”Welcome to the War castle Sand’s own military weapon installation…. this is as far as we can go…good luck if you live…let’s go boys, this is not our business.” the leader of the Bike gang said, more or less issuing them a warning, that they could enter, but may not leave with their lives. As the bikers rode away, Sora exhaled loudly. “You hear that…dangerous place. You sure you want to go in there. I mean, we could just forget this, go back to the Spire and the kids…let the humans all…”- but before he could finish, Taru had already started to make her walk through the gates and into the grounds. Sora glanced back at the truck, and then saw his sister heading off without him. “Hey!…Wait, don’t leave me out here. Might get mugged.” :: <c>
Seated on the ground, in the forest for her lesson with the Master; Mute, Raven was learning a great deal about the history of the Clans, and the importance to wear the masks, to disguise their true self. Raven had a question, and raised her hand, asking; “What if we can’t mask…..what we become?” it was indeed a thought provoking question, since being what she was, there would of course be times, when she could not cover the fact, her true form was that of a spider. The tape recorded message, would provide the answer, but the answer itself, also left young Raven with even more questions than before. ”Alright dad here goes….now if one were unable to hide their form, we can always rely on various tactics for example there a certain members who don’t hide behind their masks just to show to the world that they are horrendous in appearance and actions so that the rest who hides behind masks can infiltrate the world without anyone question what they are” Raven slowly lowered her hand. Her small black eyes darted from behind her mask, wondering if all the other students would take what the recordered message said, that she herself was in fact truly horrendous, hideous in her true form. Uneasy, she coughed, and then held her hands together in her lap. Raven was not pleased, but she kept it to herself, as the next part of the lesson was to be spoken, with one that had a cat like voice. “meow…the man that stand before you is a man known as the mute nya nya you can tell he doesn’t speak so meow meow he does this thing meow as you may notice various members of spoken meow and those he consider worthy enough to speak meow but remember in order to be a member of this clan you mustn’t be puuurfect” Through all the meowing and nyahs, Raven was able to grasp points that were trying to be made, but the one that stood out for her, was about perfection. Nearly everyone knows, that perfection is simply an illusion, it just is not possible in anyone’s reality. On with the lesson, and it was clear, that the most important lessons, were to come in time. The third and final lesson, would revolve around history. How it was what you learn from your mistakes, your failings in battle, that lead us on to greater knowledge, and this could be used to an advantage, later in training. This did sink in for Raven, for though she did not take an active part in the fight with the meats, she learnt a great deal, and more respect for Rider, and her flusher men and women. The noble riders of the Otyugh, with the lowest profession. If ever anyone deserved to be Clan of Darkness it was the cleaners of the Tunnels and sewers. The class was then dismissed, with the Mute rising and heading back to the waterfall, while Raven was left seated on the tufts of grass and roots. Lowering her head, she picked away at the grass, not feeling comfortable to approach the others around her. For the first time in a long time, she felt totally alien. A sick feeling. The mask may well hide her identity, but nothing could hide her real state, forever. :: <c>
The Down the Drains shop, was abuzz with people taking, buying weapons and posters, the igloos of clothes, moving about and the tonk of copper and silver coins on the counter, heralded that the owner would do good trade this day. Cookie, had requested a machete, which really was not a long range weapon that would be more suited to fighting the meats, however, this was what Cookie felt she needed. Rider, suggested a shield, to compliment the machete, and Cookie knew it was probably a good idea. “Do they have shields made from wood, or metal? I am not sure which would be better, the wood being lighter, but the metal would be stronger, surely in the face of battle. <3>
DarksiedtheLegend: -The instant Taru had begun to walk toward the iron gates did those gates opened by themselves but not silently for those iron gates creaked so loud that neighbours might here it as soon as the gates were wide open did an odd machine appeared and this machine oddly looks like a football size eyeball with a spinning rotor above it as the eye part stared at Taru for a moment before a red light would be emitted from the eyeball as it scanned her before the eyeball turned red then noticing that Sora was also there as the eyeball shifted its attention to Sora before scanning him just like Taru but then it noticed the card from Sand as it seemed to have scanned the card as well without the need for Sora to present it or show it as the eyeball turned green as the eyeball then got closer to them before playing a message for them to hear-(?????)”So Sand sent you…alright I’m deactivating the self-defence mechanisms and all my special mines so if you feel don’t worry it isn’t going to explode and out.” –As the eyeball would then fly up and back to the supposed War castle now if Taru and Sora were to walk through the field of grass to get to the war castle they might have a chance of stepping on one of these so called mines but even if they stepped on any of these mines nothing will happen for these mines seemed to have been turn off and are in way going to explode well unless someone were to try and jam a sharp object into the mine and wiggle said object a bit will it actually explode but the chances of that are highly unlikely and as they continue their stroll in this grass field they would notice certain patches of grass were burnt, had bullet casings near them and some even had dried blood and oil but as soon as they got to the War castle one would notice it had its gates were wide open and just waiting for them to enter they would notice various men and women moving crates with forklifts to other areas, cranes lifting platforms to reach the other floors of this weapon plant as other people seemed to be moving in and out of corridors and alleys with what appears to be documents and paperwork paying little attention to Taru and Sora well except one person, a man with blonde hair dressed in a blue jean jacket, blue jeans, snake skinned boots and a eye patch on his left eye as he then approached them before saying to them-
(Larry)”Welcome to the War castle I’m Larry. We don’t get visitors unless they are customers sent by Sand himself, and I guess he must have said pick whatever you want and you can pay later…So what did Sand offer to you? Weapons? Armors? Bionic implants? Cyborg companions? Droid walkers? Army Vehicles? Aircraft? Biological weapons? Genetic abominations? Ten to twenty feet mobile armored combat walkers? Supercomputers of military grade? Naval ships? Special suits? So tell me which is it?” –As Larry would scratch his left eyebrow for a moment as he awaited their response so that he may walk them down to one of the weapons testing facility while back at the forest of Shangri-La various members of the class seem to be talking among themselves while some of the more younger children were playing around as Rotal seemed to be taken aback by the knowledge he just received while it might be true he is a member of the mask clan he didn’t actually knew much about the clan of darkness and now he realized some of the things that weren’t told to him as he watched on to see a shy Raven while he wanted to help her out he knew it wasn’t in his place to do so as Rotal seemed to afraid to actually go to Raven after all he is trespassing on a lesson meant for those of the clan of darkness and he was a member of the clan of shadows but then he noticed a teenage wearing a torn vest with the symbol of the moon on his back, black jeans, and boots made his way towards Raven before sitting next to her as the teenage said to her-(????)”Hello my name is Darksied… well I hope they would call me that eventually for I aspire to be like him..so kid welcome to the clan of darkness so how do you like your first day here? and don’t worry you don’t need to tell me your name unless you managed to get your second name already…so kid tell me kid why the odd question?” –If she turned to see him she could note that his mask while expressionless had only eye holes for him to see out and that his arms appeared to be white by skin and it seems like he was human and he clearly seems to be interested to know why she would ask that question. Now as for the down the drains shop as Paige or now known as Cookie said-(Paige) “Do they have shields made from wood, or metal? I am not sure which would be better, the wood being lighter, but the metal would be stronger, surely in the face of battle.” –To which Rider would respond to her question-(Rider)”Good question come with me and lets see.” –As Rider stood up and began to head to the igloo of cloths that might have token the money on the counter as she begun to speak to it-(Rider)”Growl…Hiss…bark…bark….meow….hiss….bark?” –To which the igloo of clothes began to hack and cough loudly as it tried and tried to keep cough and hacking before a wooden handle come out of the igloo of clothes as Rider would then grab the handle and pull it out of the igloo of clothes to reveal that the handle was connected to a machete before a second handle would come out as Rider would remove that one too to reveal a second machete as Rider held both to show Paige to pick one both of them were about forty centimeters long and were about seemed to be well made as Rider then placed the two machetes in front of Paige but flat down on the ground as she turned her attention back to the igloo of clothes as she asked it again –(Rider)”Growl…click…bark….clack…quack…bark?” –To which the igloo of clothes began to hack and cough again as if trying to spit something out before a round wooden edge appeared from the igloo of clothes as Rider pulled out the round edge slowly first to reveal a wooden shield as the igloo of cloths began to cough and hack again before a round metal edge appeared from the side of the igloo as Rider would pull that shield out of the igloo to reveal the metal shield as Rider would place the shields next to the machetes as that Paige could choose which one she wants.-
CharlotteCarrendar: – Loud creaking, the sound of gates that were desperately in need of oiling. The sound grating on ones nerves, if they were hopeful of entering quietly. Taru was of course, first to enter the grounds, her older half brother Sora, had to run to catch up. The Elder, glanced back over his shoulder at the truck they had brought, and wondered how safe the neighborhood was, if they had to go to such extremes with security. Taru kept her gaze fixed on the entrance that was beyond a grassy field, dotted with burnt grass patches, bullet casings and blood stained green tips. At some point, people had tried to enter the compound, and by the looks of things, they didn’t fair terribly well. Taru’s black cloak billowed behind her and she had an imposing presence to those that would come out to meet her. But what did come out, was nothing short of spectacular. A machined, that was about the size of a football, and shaped like a large eye, that was emblazoned a dark blood red of warning. Sora stopped suddenly, as it started to scan the pair. “Keep still” he urged to his sister, who had come to a halt, but was eyeing off the large eye with caution. The card, that was still on Taru, as she never got to hand it over to the leader of the Bike gang, was in fact the key to the deactivation of the security cordons, and the mines. Sora let out a large sigh of relief, when the floating eyeball turned green. -(?????)”So Sand sent you…alright I’m deactivating the self-defense mechanisms and all my special mines so if you feel don’t worry it isn’t going to explode and out.” Another success, or so they hoped, pressing on, as the floating eye returned to its keep. Sora could not contain his concern. “Taru, I truly think we are getting into a dangerous situation. We don’t even know who these people are. What good can come of this…honestly?” Sora was starting to have doubts. He preffered the simple life of Harstens, to the likes of the tech savy Lorewalleans. Taru’s face was grim. “Do not forget, our kin is below the surface. If the Astartes take Lorewall, then they will not stop, until they take control of both worlds. *she slowly turned her face towards Sora and said plainly*..We are the enemy.” Closer to the Castle, and it came to be that this was indeed a hive of activity, with staff, personnel, moving crates, large boxes, using heavy machinery to load pallets with storage containers of with every weapon type imaginable. Coming to a stop, as the pair kept an eye out for the leader to this operation, they would be approached by a man who is dressed fairly casually, for such an outfit. Blonde surfer like locks, blue jeans, snake skinned boots, an eyepatch, and blue jean jacket. This would be Larry. Recalling what Sand had said to them, about being courteous, and not going into any form of stand over tactics, or bravado, they should be okay. Taru nodded her head politely, whilst her brother stood in just behind. He felt that Taru had more clout, when it came to negotiations. Why this was, would become clear, in the days ahead. Larry was welcoming, and to the point. -(Larry)”Welcome to the War castle I’m Larry. We don’t get visitors unless they are customers sent by Sand himself, and I guess he must have said pick whatever you want and you can pay later…So what did Sand offer to you?” Now this was when Larry went off on a complete spiel, of just what was available, and the list was staggering. Sora’s jaw actually fell open, while Taru remained calm. “Weapons? Armors? Bionic implants? Cyborg companions? Droid walkers? Army Vehicles? Aircraft? Biological weapons? Genetic abominations? Ten to twenty feet mobile armored combat walkers? Supercomputers of military grade? Naval ships? Special suits? So tell me which is it?” Taru thought for a moment, and then said. “I have over three hundred and ninety youngsters below Lorewall, that will require specialist armour, as well as hand weapons. Myself and my brother, will be needing specialist suits. Power armour if you have it. I don’t plan to sit on my ass, and let the Astartes roll in and take Lorewall for their own. I want to meet them at their own game. Will you help us?” Sora then decided to interject. “We have seen these men of the stars first hand. I saw what they did to my sister. I ask you to help us. I don’t want to see them harm the children, or the non humans of Lorewall.” <c>
Meanwhile at the school of the Masters, Raven was sitting on her own, occasionally glancing up as many others moved away, till the next class commenced. Her head lowering again, she was deep in thought, and would only move again, when she felt the presence of one sit down beside her. The boy, was an older teen, who wore a tattered vest, that had the symbol of the moon. Raven’s eyes flickered, as she observed him in silence, then…she recalled the boy she had seen in the mist of the lake. Was this the same boy? The vest was familiar, and she thought he was part of the illusions of the lake. -(????)”Hello my name is Darksied… well I hope they would call me that eventually for I aspire to be like him..so kid welcome to the clan of darkness so how do you like your first day here? and don’t worry you don’t need to tell me your name unless you managed to get your second name already…so kid tell me kid why the odd question?” So his name was Darksied. Strange name. He was genuinely welcoming, and spoke of aspiration to be like the original Darksied. On asking of her first day, Raven subconsciously reached up and touched the red outline of her mask. “Different. I was schooled in a great hall when I was little, and I never had class outside like this. I did enjoy the first lesson though. To feel the wind, to rise, and all around me…objects everything, gained color around them. Never seen that before.” Becoming in tune with her abilities, on her first lesson was a surprise. “I don’t have a second name yet…uhm…and as for the question, I don’t always….look like this.”- She turned her head slowly, almost ashamed. “My mask hides my face, but not my truth. I guess I have a lot to learn.” <c>
Cookie was still trying to get used to the way people spoke to each other in the Down the Drains shop. The method of communication was a lot of growls, clicks, barks, quacks, and clucks. Kinda like you had a whole menagerie of animals talking. In a way, it was comical, but then again, Cookie knew she would have to learn to talk like this, and bit her lip on just how to start. But first things first, weapons. The choice was made, a machete and a shield, and the igloos that were made from piles of clothes, were the ones that held the weapons within. (Rider)”Growl…Hiss…bark…bark….meow….hiss….bark?” Cookie stood in behind Rider, then quietly said “Cluck…hiss..quack?” Softly, but at least she was having a go. The piles of clothes, hacked and coughed, before giving up the right weapons. Amazed, Cookie leant forward to one and said softly “Meow…bark…quack.” as a thank you. On presentation of the different shields, Cookie pointed to the round metal edge one. “That looks sturdy. Be able to dong em on the head too.” The two machetes that were down at her feet, Cookie crouched down, and picked up the one the one with the wooden handle, feeling the grooves in the fibre of the wood, was good for her to grip. “This is perfect.”- She swung the machete round and parried, while with her other hand holding the shield, she took on an imaginary meat. Not bad for a girl that only a week ago, was a sweetie loving princess wannabe. Maybe there was hope for the Carrendar kids yet. <3>
