CharlotteCarrendar: – Riding along at a slower pace with the bag of gold jingling, the pair had gotten away with murder so to speak. Having gotten the supplies they needed, their horses with new shoes and more gold than when they started, they certainly had luck on their side. Annie had to admit that the drunken gamblers were a bunch of fools the way they took her at her word about bush rangers. Little did they know they had just been fleeced by them. Annie bent down as her horse went under a low hanging branch, then righted herself, only to hear Jack say that she shouldn’t hide the fact she was a woman. She should have a name for herself as a dreaded outlaw. ”Aha! What ya think ta call me then? Rough riding Annie?’ This was said with a smirk as she thought that sounded ridiculous. ”And what is this about you likin’ ma hair down? Not be taking too much of a shine to me are ya?” Often Annie tried to act more male, to get away with more. Women were not meant to ride in pants, let alone be seen in such establishments as the pubs. She just found it easier to pretend to be male. ”That shopkeeper though…Ahaha…the look on his face when ya challenged him to go cheaper. I could see the colour drain away from his face.” <3>

IceTe3a: – The horse slowly trotted along with Annie up behind, he was admiring the new rifle as he checked it over, listening to Annie ramble on about how it was easier to be a male. Smirking he glanced back head half cocked “Oh so the damsel in distress needs to make life easier” he laughed out loud teasing her as he looked around, for now they were heading back to their billabong camp. “ I never thought you would be the first one to say it’s too hard” chuckling lightly he wouldn’t let that one slide down as he nodded in agreement, the shop keeper went white as a ghost when he challenged the man to drop the prices. “Most don’t like getting into fights, what more do ya expect from a bunch of yellow bellied shop keepers anywho” Soon enough they reached their destination, he took the horses gear off and allowed it to roam around freely as he took a seat on a fallen log. “We still need a better place to rough it than the side of a billabong that’s for sure. “ glancing around he knew this was hardly the best defendable place and not exactly a place where you can just leave your gear lying around, but a house costs too much and most houses were in towns, it was rare to see a shop or house built in the middle of nowhere.

CharlotteCarrendar: The taunts from Jack about being a damsel in distress only had Annie roll her eyes. She never meant she was one, it was just that it was harder all round for a woman in today’s society to get away with the things she did. Jack’s laughing only made it worse. He did have a love of teasing her when he could, and she put herself in it by her comments. On reaching the campsite near the billabong, Annie dismounted her horse once more and started to take off the saddle as well as the purchases she had made in the town. She was a bit excited about the bush oven, since that would make it so much easier to cook with. The kettle too would be put to good use. Living a life like this, roughing it in the outback was not easy. Keeping one step ahead of the constabulary was one thing, but dealing with the dangers of the bush was another. Snakes and spiders abound, and one had to be careful where they left their property. You had to have a keen eye out at all times. Letting her horse go, she took a seat beside Jack on the fallen log and listened to his suggestion that they needed a better place than this. A homestead cost an awful lot. ”If we bought a claim…built our own house that might be the way ta go, Jack.” <3>

IceTe3a: He watched as Annie started to mess around with all their new items that they bought from the stores, he smirked slightly as he knew she was happy and excited about it. He arched a brow as she said they should buy claim to some land and build a house that be the way to go, he chuckled lightly and looked back at her “And who’s ta build this house, eh? You n me? Besides, it take years and neither of us know how.” he rubbed his chin and leaned back against Annie as he sighed slightly. “We could go see the banker, they own all these lands. And we both know how crooked they are when it comes to gold. “ that would mean they needed more gold, means more robberies and now with guns it would make it a lot easier. He glanced her over and smiled, knowing full well they would need to make names for themselves that way people would take them more serious. “Besides, even if you’re female, if you got a name that’s feared I doubt anyone would be giving you any trouble” he chuckled lightly. They would need to dress correctly, but their clothing wasn’t exactly screaming fuck off either way they couldn’t afford to waste much more gold until they got their next pay, their new clothing would be on top of his list next time.“ I figure.. with land and a house, we’d be looking at least five.. ta six hundred gold pieces for a rundown old place.”their work was cut out for them, next pay check he would go visit the bankers who knew them both for what they were. “I reckon we aim higher, no more petty jobs. Hows about we rob some coaches, with all their equipment, horses and other valuables it make it easier. problem with stolen goods it was hard to pawn off in a proper town, anything south of the gorge (No mans land) was easy to sell stolen or not. Trying to sell anything legitimately north of the gorge came at a price cut to those who knew it was stolen goods. So do they take the price cut and keep it safe, or hit the outlaw towns and risk being held up, shot, or getting into a fight.

CharlotteCarrendar: – Annie got up off the fallen log and took off her hat. She untied her red ponytail and let her hair fall about her shoulders. Pocketing the ribbon which was a gift from her mother, she stared at the billabong thoughtfully. She loved the freedom of being able to just set up camp where ever she liked. To live off the land and then take from the wealthy who had far too much in their purses to ever be used for good means. Tapping her hat to her leg she was lost in thought when Jack spoke of how it would take years for them to build anything that could stand up to the elements, let alone the fact neither of them had the skills to do such a thing. Annie laughed about seeing a banker in order to find about buying land. ’Crooked bastards the lot of them.” She held no respect for them, and knew many that had lost their homes when they could not pay back what they borrowed. The idea that they would need at least five hundred gold pieces to get their dream home was way more than she could ever think to have. It was a King’s ransom, or worse – the price for a bush ranger’s head if they had done murdered a coppa. Annie had not committed murder in her crimes. Sure, she had robbed a few stores and a coach in her time – but never taken a life. Though the last run in with the law brought her awful close to losing her own life. The memory of that bullet whizzing past her head and slamming into a tree, a painful reminder. ”Robbin’ from the Cobb & Co, eh?” She asked with a rub of her chin. ”That be sure to get us known, Jack.” <3>

IceTe3a: – He smirked as he nodded in agreement, she had them picked they were all corrupt even more so than him and Annie were, they only spoke the language of gold. So they were to make names for themselves, he turned around to face Annie and smiled as he looked down at her. “You sure you want this path Annie, once we have name’s, there’s no turning back” he stood up tall and dusted himself off, as he held the rifle. “ If you’re still willing, I want you to stop hiding who you are. “ he chuckled and nudged her over playfully. “Come on, let’s go shoot some rabbit for tucker “ shouldering his rifle he left the horses to their own, as he knew where the rabbits holes were, he had attempted to catch them previously but they were always too fast for them. Taking a pocket full of bullets he placed his black hat on and smiled as he waited for her to get up and be ready before he pushed on. The field where the rabbits lived wasn’t too far away from the billabong, just around the corner and a 5 minute walk to the open field where the rabbit mounds were. The animal livestock out here was intense, not many people came out this way so the animals were everywhere, from wild pigs and dogs, to rabbits, birds and so much more. Creeping up to a good range to shoot from he sat down next to a tree and passed Annie the rifle. “Come on, you gotta learn to shoot straight so I know you have my back” he whispered and watched her carefully.

CharlotteCarrendar: – The startling red head couldn’t have been more sure about anything in her life. She knew the risks of the life that they lead and it would either mean being shot by the coppas or being hung high in one of the King’s gaols. So long as she was riding along side Jack, she was happy. Watching him stand with the rifle in his hand, Annie tossed her hat onto the fallen log. It was time to go and get some supper, and that meant hunting. Rabbits were on the menu if they got lucky. They were plentiful too, but they were fast. Following along behind Jack as he got together a handful of bullets and his hat, she took off after him. The sun was filtered by the large gum trees, and dragonflies were everywhere – bright and beautiful. There was so much to see in the bush that people took for granted. Annie kept quiet as she followed along till they reached a spot where Jack knew it would be a good spot to find rabbit burrows close by. Jack offered her the rifle and told her that she needed to learn to shoot straight if she was to have his back. Loading the rifle with the bullets, she pulled the lever back, and then crouched down low. Her green eyes surveying the grasses in the hopes to see that tell tale sign of rabbit ears. Both were silent for a time, till suddenly she spotted one, that had just come out of its burrow. Annie aimed. ~CRACK!~ the loud sound of the gun firing would startle away the birds in the trees, but to Annie’s surprise, she shot true. Bagging her first rabbit. She let out a whoop of joy and handed the smoking rifle back to Jack. ”I killed it…you skin it.” She laughed. <3>

IceTe3a: He watched as she handled the gun well soon enough she fired, he watched the rabbit as it doubled over a perfect shot, no need to waste another shot as it died with the first bullet. He smirked and nodded as he ruffled her hair “Nice shooting quick draw” he chuckled as he teased her. Shouldering the rifle he went over and collected the rabbit, cracking its neck just to be sure it was dead before walking back to Annie. “we’ll keep the furs, I’m sure they’re worth something to the right people” he smirked and led her back to their camp. “Get your cooking thing ready” he smiled as he pulled out his knife, he made incisions at the legs and cut the skin off perfectly, it wasn’t hard to tell that he’s done this before, as he gut and cleaned the rabbit down at the waters edge he threw the guts into the billabong as the fish came up in the middle and started feasting on the rabbit remains. Everything in the outback was utilized nothing was wasted, as he walked back with a freshly skinned rabbit and passed it down to Annie, he pegged the fur up high in a branch and left it there to dry out in the sun after being washed out, if anything a few of those could be used to make quite a few different items. Sitting back down he laid the rifle back onto the stump. “we’ll get a good night’s rest and head out and find a travelling coach tomorrow, where should we do the deed, good side or no man’s land?” that was the question worth answering as he glanced over at Annie while she prepared the rabbit.

CharlotteCarrendar: – Taking the skinned rabbit, Annie started to prepare the new bush oven that she had bought in town. She part filled it with water from the billabong and then placed the whole rabbit in the pot. In her knapsack, she had some vegetables that she had bought in town, along with some salt, that she added to the water. She was able to cut up the vegetables with Jack’s knife and add that to the pot. Placing it over the fire that had been built earlier, she placed the lid on and let it cook. It was going to make for quite the meal when it was done and a rare treat. Annie sat back and reflected on her shooting skills. Her dad had taught her when she was but a slip of a girl, but she hadn’t kept up with it till now. With the meal bubbling away, she took up her hat and placed it on her head on an angle that it covered much of her face. She folded her arms and leaned against a tree, her legs crossed out in front of her. Thinking about which way to go, to find a coach the next day, Annie thought for a moment, then from beneath her hat Jack would hear her say. ”No man’s land.” She didn’t give a reason for it, but he could probably guess why. <3>

IceTe3a: He smiled and nodded in agreement as he watched her settle down, so they were going to rob a coach in no man’s land. This would be interesting to say the least “You understand in no man’s land the rules are different, you need to be able to take a man’s life Annie. You can use the Rifle, I’ll be fine with my colt” he chuckled as he laid down against the dirt, resting his head on the stump he sighed slightly in relief as he took in the alluring scent of the cooking rabbit. He should wash up, but he was going to do this later, he was slowly drifting off when he heard it “ Ole country roooooaddd take me hoooome, sing with me Anna-bell, you useless mule!” it sounded like someone was in pain from the way the person was singing, twitching his hat up slightly he noticed a man and a horse walking towards them. Reaching for his pistol he unclipped it from the holster and left his hand rested there. “Whats cooking? Smells good” the old man lifted the pot’s lid and then grunted “Ugh.. needs beans” he dropped the lid down onto the pot again and lead his donkey down towards the billabong, where he stepped over Annie Scuse’ me” Watching him closely he sighed as he got up “Can I help you old man? “ The donkey started to drink from the billabong as the old man stood up and turned around with a snarl on his face “Who you calling old, ye scrawny mongrel” and then spat some chewing tobacco down onto the ground. Sitting upright he growled as he straightened his hat, Jack was getting annoyed and about to teach the old man a lesson it was obvious Annie would have to pull him in and be the middle man on this one.

CharlotteCarrendar:- Now it was not every day that a stranger just wanders into your camp, checks out what your cooking and then just steps over you like you are some log on the ground. But that is just what this old timer did. With a flea bitten mule, or donkey, he made himself at home at the billabong like he owned the place. Annie put her finger under the brim of her hat and pushed it up. She wasn’t shocked by the man’s antics, more surprised if anything. The sound of the bush oven’s lid being lifted then dropped unceremoniously with the declaration that it needed beans, brought something of a surprised laugh from Annie.”Cheeky old bugger.” She said before she thought. Course, Jack was off and on his feet in a blink. Approaching the old geezer, who took offence at Jack’s call. Turns out, he didn’t like being called old. Watching him spit out a large dollop of chewing tobacco on the ground, Annie could sense that this was not going to get better, if Jack lost his temper. Annie got to her feet quickly, and approached the pair that were at the stream. ”Well, ya not exactly a spring chicken. Ya better be answering Jack here, or he is libel to put a bullet between them blue eyes of yours.” <3>

IceTe3a: – He was growling and death staring the old man down as Annie stepped in and played the friendly role as she always did. He sighed and stood up straight as he watched the old man carefully. “ Of course M’am” the old man took off his ragged old hat as he spoke kindly to Annie, patting the back of the donkeys ass he smiled “Why me and old Anna-Bell here are gold prospectors, but its all hush hush. Not many folks know how to look for gold and the rest don’t know where it come from, it’s a Hoot!” he smiles and dusts himself off before taking a seat in front of them looking up as he was obviously addressing Annie. “You stupid old goat, Gimme one good reason I shouldn’t shoot you” Jack growled as he glared the calm old man down. A simple chuckle escaped his lips as he rubbed his tired old head “ Beans of course!” he threw Annie a bottle of beans and smiled as he nodded in kind “Besides by the way I figure it, the bullets worth more than I am” he rubbed his chin slightly as he eyes Annie and jack off. “So you two are Bush rangers, eh? Not that I mind, I prefer to keep away from all that flash and stuff I don’t rightly understand it anyway. “ he was talking about law and the town how everything was going so fast. Jack sighed as he walked away waving the old man off, seems like Annie more than could handle the old man, and he was right he wasn’t worth the bullet.

CharlotteCarrendar: – A gold prospector. So that was why he was this far out with just a mule and his world riding on her back. He dressed in clothes that looked so well worn, that they could use a tailor’s touch. He was polite when he spoke to Annie, even mentioning his mule’s name, which brought a smile to Annie’s face being that Anna-bell was close to her own name. The prospector sat himself down and rightly made himself at home, much to Jack’s annoyance. His nostrils flared as he went to call the old man a few choice words and asked a reason he should not be shot there and them. His answer. Beans. He threw the jar to Annie, who caught it on the fly. She turned the jar around and thought to herself that it would be good to add to the pot.”Guess he is staying for supper.” With that said, she laughed and went to add the beans to the rabbit stew. This would leave Jack and the old timer to talk. Annie lifted the lid on the bush oven, and unscrewing the jar, she added the whole lot. Even tapped the bottom. Hearing the old man ask if they were bushrangers, she shrugged. This was men’s business, and she knew Jack was already in a right state. <3>

IceTe3a: He sighed as Annie announced that the old coot was staying for dinner, but there was no arguing with her when she had already made her mind up. He looked over the old man and he looked harmless enough but one could never tell. “ Thank you M’am, gives this old timer to rest his sore bones” Jack shook his head, as the old man called himself old but seconds ago he was up in a blaze from being called old by jack, obviously he didn’t take kindly to other men. Looking back at Annie he had a confused and helpless look on his face, not knowing what to do to the old man as he sighed “Fine.. Yeah, what about it old timer. Thinking of collecting on our bounty? he glared the old man straight down the eye, to his surprise the old man shook his head “Nah, by the way I figure it you two are together and its hard to make a living. You gotta do what you gotta do” well he got half of it right, rolling his eyes he was surprised that a old man didn’t mind that they were both outside the law, rule breakers. It was more than welcomed as he and jack almost saw eye to eye for a moment “Just don’t get any funny idea’s “ Jack had enough of the old man and laid back tiling his hat over his face. Suddenly a strange noise comes from the donkeys carry bag, “Oh marry jane is awake!” the old man got up and pulled out a red hen, sitting back down he laid the hen on his laps as it clucked away happily while being petted “Annie, I’d like you to meet, Mary jane. “ he smiled widely while chewing tobacco

CharlotteCarrendar: – Much to Annie’s surprise, the old prospector had another surprise. A strange sound was coming from the back of the mule and it turned out to be the old man’s pet chicken who happened to be named Mary Jane. Annie shot a look at Jack that was comical. It was not every day that you ran into a man that kept animals like this, let alone named them. Watching the old man get comfortable with the chicken on his lap, Annie sat down opposite him. ”You have to forgive Jack. He is not too trusting of strangers.” This was the truth, and if the prospector sold them out to the coppas, he was sure to make a few coins out of it for his trouble. But thankfully, the old man knew how hard it was to make a living off the land. He might not respect them for being bush rangers, but as he said, you gotta do what you gotta do. Jack had now settled back against the tree, his face obscured with his hat, leaving Annie to talk to the old man. ”So there is real gold buried deep in these hills? I thought that was down lower than these parts.” <3>

iceTe3a: – Jack was drifting off to sleep as he slightly kept an ear on the conversation, with the horses roaming around happily it all seemed safe enough for him to catch a quick nap and let Annie deal with the old man. “Sure is, just gotta use some explosive or dig. Either way deep in the caves or in river beds, Just gotta know where to look” he chuckled slightly as he continued to pat his pet chicken. “So whats a pretty young thing like yourself doing with a roughed up gunslinger like him?” he was curious to hear her story, and he glanced back at Anna-bell who was now munching on some grass over by the trees, he smiles as he looks back at Annie. Jack yawned slightly as he shifted his weight, still not fully asleep just resting his eyes as he drifted in and out of it. He didn’t understand why Annie was being so friendly towards the old man, but she was always the smarter one out of the two, he just figured she knew what she was doing otherwise this would be a different story. The old man ruffled around in his pocket and pulled out a small gold nugget about the size a small rock “see here, this is what gold looks like before its shaped into coins and such. Worth a bit too” he chuckled, it seemed he was trusting enough to let two bush rangers know that he had pure gold on his self, jacks ears burned as he tiled his hat up slightly and stared down at Annie, he was getting an idea but would she let him?

CharlotteCarrendar: – It was a good question. How did a girl such as herself get into being a bush ranger? Annie pursed her lips for a moment, wondering just how much she could tell the man. She didn’t know the old timer and was not obliged to tell him a thing. She did show a hint of a pink blush to be called pretty. Few ever did that mainly cause of how she dressed. Looking down at the pet chicken that the man was holding, reminded her a little of one that she had as a child. But that was so long ago. Truth was, she had been riding with Jack a few years. ”My mum died giving birth to my baby brother. Dad….he couldn’t handle life without her. Sent us kids away to an orphanage.” At this she looked uncomfortable. ”I don’t care what anyone says…but those priests don’t know how to care for children. Bastards. I ran away, than be beaten again.” Annie looked away a moment, as she tried to compose herself before continuing. ”A coppa caught me stealing bread and was about to haul me in. That was when Jack saved me. Been with him ever since.” It was true. As a young teen she had been on the run for some time. A pick pocket – a thief. <3>

IceTe3a: – He smiled and nodded as he pockets the gold nugget, obviously she had a harsh up bringing, it was almost tearful to the old man as he smiled and continued to pat his chicken. Jack almost had enough of all this, the old man had a gold nugget and who knows how many more. Coming to a stand he stretched his arms before slowly walking over to be behind Annie, looking down at her he shook his head. : The old man looked from Annie to Jack who was slowly rising, he gulped slightly as he clutched his pocket and looked back to Annie with a half smile, he knew Annie was kind in heart to those who understood but jack was a heartless man to anyone else but his own or that’s how he saw him “I best be off, long journey ahead of me and what not” he quickly rose and stowed Marry-Jane in the carry case again, as he grabbed Annie-bells reigns and pulling her along “It’s been a pleasure, M’am” he said as he scurried off into the distance. : Jack watched as the old man quickly raced to get ready, he sighed slightly and shook his head as he watched the old man ride off into the distance, not far enough to escape a rifle’s bullet though. He picked up the riffle without asking what Annie thought they should do. Coming down to a kneel he leant against the tree with riffle in hand, cocking it he means to kill the old man for his gold.

CharlotteCarrendar: – Annie had forgotten herself in her sad memories, and it wasn’t till she noticed the gold nugget, and heard Jack get up behind her, that she knew that trouble had just shown its head. The old man, he quickly twigged to the situation. Showing such a large nugget of gold to a pair of bush rangers was a mighty big mistake. Annie felt a lump rise in her throat. This was the part of a bush ranger’s life that she didn’t like. But it was also a test. The old timer was suddenly a lot quicker in his movements. Packing away the chicken and grabbing the mule’s reigns as he started to make a hasty retreat. There would be no more hospitality. Annie went silent when Jack had reached for his rifle. There would be no discussions. She watched on as he knelt and took aim. She closed her eyes, and started to count down as she knew that the sound of the rifle would soon fill the air. <3>

IceTe3a: * BANG* the crack of the rifle firing as the shot hit true, he half expected Annie to speak up and ask that the man’s life be spared, but in her weakness to step up in what she wanted she had to sit there and watch as Jack took the man’s life, the bullet hit the old man in his right leg as the screams of pain and agony echo through the barren land. Jack huffs proud of his shot as he shoulders his rifle and comes to a stand “Stay here” he said in a low tone as he walked out towards the old man. You could hear the old man begging Jack for his life, that he will give everything over to him if he let him live. Pulling out his .45 colt he aimed it down at the old man “ You die as a lesson” *BANG BANG BANG* three shots in the chest as the third one surely finished the old man off. Jack holstered his pistol and checked the old man for his gold nuggets, finding three he pockets them before he walks over to the donkey, pulling the carry cases off he checked inside, beans and other foods and the chicken. He grabbed the chicken by its head as it fluffed up, he broke its neck and tossed it on the ground. Walking back to the old man’s dead body he picked it up and tied it to the donkey before shooting down at the donkeys feet, it forced the donkey to run off and drag the old man’s dead body across the ground far away from their billabong, no one would know where he was shot. Picking up the dead chicken and the rest of the gear he walked back to Annie and tossed the dead chicken on the ground in front of her as he looked at her carefully with his sharp eyes, his face covered in blood. Walking back to the camp fire he placed the newly found goods down next to the rest of their stuff before walking down to the billabong and started to wash his face.

CharlotteCarrendar: – The first shot hit the old man in the leg, then that was when Jack went off to finish the gruesome business. Annie bowed her head, muttering a prayer that she knew God probably would never hear. She started to rock back and forth after the sounds of the poor man begging for his life fell on deaf ears. Another three shots and the man spoke no more. Only when the dead chicken was tossed at her feet on Jack’s return, did she speak up. ”You killed the chicken too? We could have gotten eggs.” An odd thing to say, but she was not really thinking clearly. The donkey was now racing through the bush, dragging the lifeless body of the miner with it. If anyone ever found the donkey and the dead miner, it would be shocking to say the least. The miner would have been no harm to them, but he was carrying a lot of gold, and that was what they needed. Seeing Jack’s eyes so fierce – his face covered in blood, Annie soon quietened again, and started to pluck the chicken of its feathers. Last thing she wanted to do was cause him to be mad at her. Feathers were all around her feet, as she gripped handful after handful and tore them from the chicken’s flesh. <3>

IceTe3a: After washing his face he came to a stand and went through the loot he had just killed for, 3 jars of beans some more cooking items and spices, other food items, a pick, some rope and two carry cases. He chuckled lightly as he tossed the three gold nuggets into the purse with their gold coins and placed it back in Annie’s swag. He glanced over at her as he saw her rocking back and forward while plucking the chicken he sighed and wiped his upper lip with his thumb before coming to a stand and walking over to her. Looking down at her he sighed “You’re weak, a wreck. If you wanted that man’s life to be spared you would have said something. “ he kneeled down and took the chicken off her, throwing it over by the rest of the bags as he glanced in her eyes “ You were weak and didn’t even if you wanted to. So, I shot him to teach you a lesson.” he looked down at her shaking hands and came to a stand “Go on.. Get” he nodded out towards the bush “ Take your stuff and leave, this life isn’t for you. And I can’t trust a yellow belly to protect my back” he turned his back on her and walked back to his stump, taking a seat he pulled out the old man’s chewing tobacco and shoved some in his mouth.

CharlotteCarrendar: – Annie could hear the anger in Jack’s voice as he ripped the chicken out from her hands and tossed it over with the old man’s possessions. He shouted at her that she was weak, and that she should have said something if she wanted the old man to live. Annie stared up at him, her mouth falling open. She had seen him angry before, yes. But never like this. He rammed home that he shot the man to teach her a lesson and a hard one at that. Then…he said it. ”Go on..Get.” Telling her to get on her way. That she was a yellow belly, and he had no use for someone as weak as her to defend him. It was then he turned his back on her. Walking away as though ready to throw her away….just like that. At first Annie didn’t know what to do. Did he care nothing for her at all? Annie got to her feet slowly. So this was it. Had she not proved herself before when it came to helping him? Angrily, she kicked over the bush oven so to spoil his dinner. ”Ya forgettin….I’m still a gal..with feelin’s. But aye…you want rid of me? I be going.” She took up her saddle and started to put it on her horse, muttering under her breath as she did so. She reached into the backsack and took out the nuggets and threw them at him so they would hit the back of his head. ~Tink tink tink~ ”And you can keep ya gold!” She mounted her horse and then kicked its flank hard, tearing off through the bush….heading for no man’s land. <3>

IceTe3a: – He was expecting her to come at him full force instead she started on about how she was female and how she still had feelings. He shook his head as she started to saddle up “So you’re blaming your weak state on being female? Pathetic, I know kids that stand up for themselves better than you” and he left it at that. The nuggets hit his head hard as he rubbed the back of his head as he picked them up sighing, he turned around just as she left and watched as she disappeared off into the distance. He knew she wouldn’t survive on her own out there but she had made her choice and left it up to her as he always did. He looked over the campfire as the food had been spilt over. He sighed as he poured the food out of the camp stove onto the ground and washed it up before packing everything. “ You got a long way to go Annie” he sighed as he glanced out to the horizon. He knew she would come back to the billabong once she cooled down but he wasn’t planning on staying. As he tied up all their gear into the bags, he stuffed the lifeless chicken into the pot with the nuggets and 55 gold pieces, keeping two for himself. Placing it all neatly near his stump he left the rifle next to it and placed his hat on top. he saddled up his horse and left with only his pistol, two gold pieces and a canteen of gold as he rode his horse deeper west into no man’s land, towards the nearest outlaw town.

CharlotteCarrendar: – Jack and Annie had fought before, but never like this. As she tore through the bush, her heart was indeed breaking. She hated to admit it to herself, but her rash temper was not always a good thing. Maybe he was right. Maybe she was a yellow belly and no good to him on this journey together. Annie had taken off without thinking. Leaving behind everything of value and not a coin on her. She soon slowed the horse when she thought she had gotten far enough away. ”Damn him.”Annie cursed. She’d never been this far out on her own before and her tracking skills were poor. It had all been going so well. If only that dreaded old man had not wandered into their fold. Her inaction saw the man die, and now her partner hated her for it. She would soon find herself leaving the dense bush and find herself on the grassy plains that headed for a township. Annie had no real plan of action. Should she revert to her old ways, or carve a name for herself as a lone bush ranger? <3>

IceTe3a: As he galloped through the rough terrain he couldn’t help but think about Annie and how stupid she was being, it was never like her to not speak her mind and now she blames everything on being female, what a cop out. It took him awhile but he finally rode into the lawless town, where law was taken into your own hands. As he rode into town he pulled up at the local tavern, jumping off his horse he hitched it up and walked into the tavern to have an ale. He looked around glaring at everyone, any one of these guys could pop off a shot without warning and he knew it. He took his ale and walked to the back table corner before sitting down and chewing on some tobacco. He spat it out before taking a sip of ale and strumming his fingers on the table, he was angry and annoyed at both himself and Annie. He glanced over at a table that looked to be playing cards, but he couldn’t be bothered and without Annie around to help swindle him out of their grasp. Leaning back in his chair, he knew she had made her mind up and now the past was the past, he would continue down his own path since she decided she wanted to be on her own. The days ahead would prove hard and full of bloodshed, that much is for sure.

CharlotteCarrendar:- Little did either Annie or Jack know but the donkey that had been pulling the dead body of the miner had reached a small settlement. A farmer and his wife spotted the blood splattered donkey in one of their fields, and on closer inspection, they saw the lifeless body of the old man. He’d bled out and his clothes were torn to shreds from the terrible dragging through the bush. The farmer sent one of his hands into the nearest town to alert the police that there were murderers about, and soon they had sent out a group of policemen on horseback to scout the area. It was as Annie was riding across the plain that she spotted them. Four of them, all dressed with those unmistakable hats. She could no longer use the dusty roads and was forced to go back into the bush. A woman out on her own like this with no provisions or explanation would surely be interrogated if caught. She walked her horse into the thick undergrowth and kept a sharp eye out. It would be getting dark soon. <3>

IceTe3a: He drunk his share of ale before he got up and paid the owner for the ale as he was walking out he bumped into another male who was entering. He was shoved back, this is where he cut loose and spun around smacking the guys lights out“Touch me again you’ll be biting lead” he snarled, he glared around the room some of the men were standing up, only to slowly sit back down and continue with what they were doing, no one wanted a piece of jack. His friend on the other hand reached for his pistol, but jack was faster *Bang Bang Bang* his lifeless body hit the floor, jack didn’t bother searching for anything but did take three bullets back “ Fair warning” he growled out as he glared around the room once more, some of the men were shaking in fear for their lives, in truth he was upset and lashing out at anyone who crossed him. He snarled some more and walked out of the tavern before hitching up on his horse, there was nothing in this town for him, so he decided he might as well go hold someone up. “Hyea!” his horse galloped into action as he blazed out of the town and back into no man’s land, in search for some poor soul to rob them of their wealth, his mind couldn’t help but think of Annie and wonder how she was faring.

CharlotteCarrendar:- Annie…was lost. The sun was starting to set and she had no idea where she was. She hated to admit it, but she needed Jack. Riding on, with no clue but trying to keep a step ahead of the coppers was when she heard it. ”STOP…IN THE NAME OF THE LAW!” It was a coppa and Annie’s heart near stopped. She rounded her horse and there was two coppas riding up the plain. She had let herself become visible, the biggest mistake she could have made. The voice of Jack was in the back of her mind…calling her weak, a yellow belly. Annie reached for her revolver and then pointed it at the constable on the left. ~BANG!~ One shot fired and it struck the coppa in the chest causing his horse to rear back and toss him off like a rag doll. The other coppa shouted out in anger as Annie shot again, only this time grazing the second coppa’s shoulder. It was enough to give her a head start and she gripped the reigns, taking off at speed. Riding blindly and leaving the coppa’s behind, until there was a gun shot. A sudden pain ruptured from her right arm as she took a bullet that sheared through some skin and tore her shirt. Bleeding, she rode on hard, trying to find her way back to the gorge….before it was too late. Her vision was poor from the lack of light, but she kept on going. Riding on and on, till she started to recognise the bush around her. The coppa’s hadn’t followed her in. Reaching the billabong, she fell off the horse and landed with a heavy thud on the ground. <3>

IceTe3a: He came to a slow trot as his horse wondered the barren lands of no man’s land, he was searching for someone he could rob to keep his mind off Annie. He continued to wonder for a good hour or so before he needed to take a drink of water, as he guzzled down some of the water he sighed as he knew he’d be lucky to find someone out this far. Luck provided and he saw two horses riding in the distance, a smirk slipped across his face as he galloped towards them, they seemed to be doing the same as he unclipped his pistol and continued to approach them it was too late by the time he realized they were coppa’s. “ G’day, seen a solo female rider round these parts? “ one of the coppa’s said as jack thought they were talking about Annie but he had to play his part, they didn’t know him. “Nah, she’s barren out these parts, why?” he watched as the coppers looked at each other one took his hat off and sighed “She’s wanted for the murder of an old man, she’s also killed one of our officers and wounded another” Jack swallowed his built up saliva and thought to himself “Annie you idiot!!” as he rubbed his chin and nodded behind him towards the town which was a good days ride “If anything, she’d be held up in the town that’a way. You may find her and other’s you’re looking for, be warned boys keep the guns loaded” the cops smiled and paid him a gold coin for his troubles and rode off towards the town, he waited for them to pass him before he pulled his gun out *BANG BANG* he shot the first copper dead the second fell off wounded, dismounting jack walked over to the other copper who was groaning “ Remember this face, if you survive tell everyone, not to fuck with me or my girl” he kicked the copper in the sides as he picked both the dead copper and the living one clean of bullets, coins, water and food. He looked around to get his location, he was going to make it for the billabong but he didn’t know if she would be held up there or not “Annie.. you’re an idiot” He had just made a name for himself and officially became a fully fledged outlaw, a wanted man. As he rode as fast as his horse could take him towards the billabong, it took awhile but he was almost there as he kept a sharp eye out for anyone who may be around, hearing groans he thought it was Annie as he lead his horse over, it was the wounded copper Annie had shot“Please.. thank god.. save me” Jack glared down at the man, before pulling his pistol and… *Bang* Jack sure was ruthless.“Annie, its jack.. Where are ya, ya bloody idiot” he bellowed out hoping to hear her.

CharlotteCarrendar:- Laying on the grassy bed that was near the billabong, Annie was drifting in and out of consciousness. What has she done? Killed a coppa, maybe two? All she knew was that she had made it back to the safety of the billabong, but Jack was nowhere to be seen. Her voice whispered from in amongst the grass. ”Jack?” Soon her eyes closed and blackness consumed her once more. Her horse came up alongside her, nuzzling her back trying to get her to move. Blood was on the grass and flies were buzzing around her wound. Then out of nowhere, a shot was fired. Two. An angry sound of a man’s voice and Annie’s eyes opened partially. Was this a dream? She heard another man’s voice and then another shot. Annie reached out with her hand and her horse let out a loud neigh, pawing the earth where she lay. ”Jack….” she tried to call out. Would he hear her? <3>

IceTe3a: – He lead his horse over to the billabong and surely enough after awhile he found her, dismounting from his horse he shook his head as he saw the state she was in “You bloody idiot Annie! What were you thinking” he sighed as he picked her up and brought her over to their usual camping spot, he looked around and all their stuff was still here, good. He tore his shirt off and then tore hers off as he looked at her wound, he washed it with water and wiped the blood away, he checked for a bullet but it was a through and through shot, clean. He quickly tore his shirt up and used it to bandage her shoulder up to stop the bleeding, it was cleaned and now with the medical aid it would stop bleeding, she would just need rest. He sighed as he grabbed his spare shirt and put it on her doing up the buttons, grabbing her swag he undid it. Picking her up he slid her into it and zipped it up, using his swag as a pillow for her head. He looked down at his bare chest, it was mixed with blood from the coppers and the man back at the tavern he sighed slightly as he started a large fire and took the chicken out, he soon cleaned the chicken and tore the meat into pieces placing it in the bush stove, with some water, veggies and what spices she had bought them he started up a nice dinner for them to slowly be cooked. He placed a water canteen beside her and stripped down as he walked over to the billabong and walked into it, slowly submerging himself as he washed the blood and smell away with the soap.

CharlotteCarrendar: – It was Jack. Swearing and cursing her for her stupid actions. She was just too weak to fight back, but had a sad expression as he picked her up and carried her to the usual camping spot. ”Jack…” she kept repeating his name as he tended to her wound. She’d really gone and done it. Shot two coppas and was now wanted also for the death of the miner. Annie crried out as he tended to her wound, but he was being so careful with her. Using his own shirt to stop the bleeding. With her head resting on the swag, she stared up at him as he cared for her. Even using the chicken from earlier to start cooking a meal for them both. He did care for her. Drifting in and out, she could see him. Going down to the billabong to bathe away the blood and the grime from his ride. No doubt he would have harsh words again for her when she finally roused. The wound throbbed as the bandage stopped the bleeding. It brought her round and she then started to sit up, as Jack continued to bathe. Her mouth was dry and her throat raw. Taking up the canteen with her good arm, she took a sip of water which quenched her thirst. Would he still think she was yellow now? She watched him silently, as the fire crackled and spat. It took her a while to gain the courage to say what she had too. ”I wasn’t thinking. You were right.”<3>

IceTe3a: – He heard her voice call out as he looked up from in the water, he sighed in relief that she was ok. Walking out of the billabong he put his long pants back on and wondered over to her, kneeling down he smirked slightly. “ I’ve killed 3 coppers one man and took the blame for the Dead miner today.” he glanced over at her and smiled lightly as he finally came to sit down next to her he sighed slightly “You’re right you are female, but that shouldn’t be an excuse. It should be more of a reason to drive you to better yourself. In the long run you can be as tough as any bloke out there” he chuckled and looked her over carefully as he checked the wounds “How you feeling anyway?” he walked over to the fire and stirred the bush stove, dinner was smelling good and it was almost ready the aroma was wafting through the air. He sighed happily as he walked back to her as he comes to sit again “You really had me worried Annie”

CharlotteCarrendar: – Annie’s face fell when she heard what Jack had gone and done. Between the pair of them, they had killed enough coppas and others to warrant them being officially outlaws. Wanted dead or alive. No doubt as word spread, the bounty on their heads would be considerable. So much for wanting to settle down. Anne eased herself up and watched as Jack approached her. He gave her a right telling off for doubting herself. He believed that in the long run, she would be rougher than any bloke. Jack asked how she was faring, to which she answered. ”Sore. Burns like a right bitch.” Which was true. She had really gotten herself into the wars, but thanks to Jack she would survive. The smell of the cooking food however had her stomach rumbling. She remembered the chicken and then looked over at Jack. ”I owe you my life, Jack. Really.” From now on, she was going to pay heed to his words. <3>

IceTe3a: He smirked as she said she owed him her life, he simply shook it off “Nah, we’re together in this from the very start. We have each other’s back, it’s to be expected ain’t it?” he chuckled lightly. Coming to a stand he walked over to their supplies got two tin bowls and spoons, as he filled up a helping of the chicken broth, he walked back and gave one with a spoon to Annie “All I need you to do is be yourself, It’s not just me calling the shots. If you think we should do something else, or I shouldn’t kill someone for example, speak up” he really wanted her to know she had a voice in everything they did and she wasn’t just one of his lackies. “Well now everyone will know there’s a bullet biting tough female out there, no sense hiding what you are now” he gave her a wink as he started to eat the soup. [/b] “ You still need to get better, I reckon that takes us out of the job for a while. What do you say?” [/b] he chuckled as he continued to eat the food, he was proud of his cooking although he wasn’t much of a cook, Annie was the chef out of the two of them, she had a lot of useful traits.

CharlotteCarrendar: – Annie took the offered bowl of chicken broth and it was truly welcoming. She grimaced as she adjusted herself on the ground to eat. Blowing on the first spoonful, she placed it in her mouth and it was probably the best thing she had ever eaten. She was truly grateful for him in more ways than one. Nodding, she agreed that she was definitely going to be known after today, and that hiding who she was was out of the question. Her arm still throbbed, and it may be a day or two before she would be able to ride properly, so their plans would have to be on hold for a while as she got her strength back. Annie finished her small bowl of chicken broth, and handed it back to Jack since he would be better at cleaning them out.”You’re right. No stage coach robbing for a while, and I promise to not bite my tongue no more. Ya might not like what I say…but eh.” Her spirit was coming back and that was a good sign. <3>

CharlotteCarrendar: – Snorting, braying horses pushed to their limits by their riders. Sweat streaking down their sides, with foam at their mouths. The horses gallop through the bush as though being chased by the very devil himself. Loud crackles of gunfire only spur them on in their haste. The two riders, both wanted for crimes against the Crown are one with their steeds. Spiriting their horses on to gain greater distance between them and the coppers. The riders are sinners; wanted men with a heavy price on their heads that would feed a family for a year. Sons and daughters of Irishmen, their names are folk lore, their deeds spread by the printed word that ran the length and breadth of the Devil’s own land. A loud whip crack and the two riders don’t look back. Once they pass the gorge, they were free from the clutches of the constabulary. <3>

IceTe3a: The devils land, named rightly so as this barren landscape was cruel and unforgiving. The lifestyle of the people that were forced to live here was anything but luxury, if the bush didn’t kill you the sun would. The heat of the sun bared down on the two riders as they made their best efforts to out run the law without getting a bullet lodged into their backs, with full trust and hope in their horses as they galloped through the rocky terrain whipping past and nearly hitting large gum trees as the horses breathed hard while pushing their limits. The sweat on his back was nothing in comparison to the sweat slowly rolling down Jacks dust covered face, raising his right arm he wiped the sweat from his forehead a momentary pleasure one of the few things he could afford to do at this point. His eyes sharp and darting around as he surveyed the rugged land glimpsing over to his partner in crime though he did not turn to look back there was no point as they both knew what was coming after them. ” You’ll never get us alive you lads!” He spits as it momentarily moistens his dry and cracking lips the wind soon to dry them up once more “Bloody coppers… HYAA!” another crack from his whip as the sound of gunfire and bullets whizzing past, forcing his head to duck and weave around in hopeful luck in dodging every single bullet they let loose. The gorge was in view, two large mountains creating a deep and narrow path to the no man’s land, not just anyone could survive out there and the coppa’s never dared follow as it was out of their territory. His hope rising as he stood in his spurs knees bent as he moved with his horse“Come on we can make it!! HYAA!!” another crack of the whip as the guns blare behind them. Even if they did make it through the gorge and to no man’s land, they had little water and little food to retreat to, they needed shade and these were the least of their problems a long day and a longer night awaited the two bush rangers.

CharlotteCarrendar: – With gritted teeth, Annie spurred her horse faster, though you could feel the horse was just about at its limits – breathing hard as it powered on. The brush and low hanging branches made it treacherous going, if you weren’t careful. Dodging and weaving, the horses and their riders were one with the surrounds. Both knew the bush like the back of their hands, but you could never trust the coppers, who were fast to shoot now and ask questions later. Dead or alive it didn’t matter to them. The dust and dirt flew up in their wake with leaf litter being churned beneath the heavy falls of the horse’s hooves. Annie could hear the sharp whistle of the shots being fired, and one near got her shoulder – whistling past only to slam into a tree. So close…too close. They needed to go faster. The sight of the gorge was fast approaching, but would they make it? Annie was riding so hard, that her hat near flew off her head, and she reached up to slam it down leaving only one hand on the reigns – her legs tight around the horse’s middle. The girl was not born in the saddle, but she’d been a quick learner and soon rode as well as many a man her age. Though to look at her, you would not even know it was a girl. Her trademark red hair tied up and kept well under her hat. Boys britches and a plaid shirt homemade probably for one of her many brothers was loose fitting on her and caught the breeze as she rode on hard. ”HEYYA!” Annie roared at her horse. Faster, she had to go faster. Jack was already gaining and if she didn’t keep up she’d be shot for sure. Annie’s horse snorted loudly heeding her cry and galloped on harder through the rugged terrain. <3>

IceTe3a: He watched her closely from time to time as they continued to ride down the path towards the gorge, he didn’t need to tell her to keep up she already knew what would happen if she fell behind. Dust kicked up leaving a dusting trail for the coppers, jacks mouth smirked at this moment as he knew they were free bound soon enough, there’s no way the coppa’s could catch them now save a rogue bullet collected them. As they made their way towards the opening of the gorge their horses came in closer as he looked over at her and smiled, they had made it; you could hear the horses of the coppers screeching as they were brought to a halt, rapidly wasting their ammo in chance to hit one or both of them “Next time we see you two you’re both dead!!” a fair warning was given. They would have to be more vigilant while riding through patrolled lands from now on, the prices on their heads had surely doubled after their last robbery. As they galloped through the gorge and finally out of sight of the coppers, passing through the other side to the barren dirt filled terrain. It was all the same around here, they would need to find shade soon enough to let the horses drink and rest, that means finding a river or a billabong. Lucky for them they both knew the terrain fairly well, and a hidden billabong in the bush around some higher forming rock faces allowed for a cooling bath, drink and shade. The perfect place to set up camp for the day “ We made that one by the skin of our teeth, lass” his sharp eyes glanced over to her as he looked her over head to toe as he checked on her “We’re heading to the billabong, horses need a well deserved rest” slowly he brought the horse to a walking pace, the least he could do now was let them breath as they headed over to make camp. “Thing’s can’t keep going this close, we need to make changes” he knew they needed a smarter way to get food, to pull of robberies, they needed new clothing.. to arm themselves properly and they needed to eat, the list of problems were long as he sighed slightly and sat back in his saddle, wiping the dirt and sweat away from his face.

CharlotteCarrendar:- A bright smile formed upon Annie’s dusty face as she heard the coppers scream abuse at the pair for making it beyond their reach. There was no way they would follow them into the gorge, and Annie knew it. The last bullets fired ricotched off rocks and showed that the coppers were too tired to even aim straight. But Annie was near hoarse from the ride, her throat so dry and parched that she needed a drink just like the horses did. Though safely away from the coppers, they needed to find water and shade or they would surely suffer a terrible fate. If one was unfamiliar to the lands they would easy go round in circles for days for every tree, every rock looked the same. Slowing her horse down, Annie had caught up with Jack who had also slowed. He was dead on the money that they had just survived by the skin of their teeth. ”Aye..we got lucky this time.” Annie added whilst keeping a good look out for the billabong that shouldn’t be too far away. Speaking of changes, Annie knew that her clothing was near ragged after the past few days ride. She was sure she’d torn her pants and in the worst place possible for a girl. Good thing she kept a needle and thread in her duffle bag. Annie lept down off her horse and then led it by the reigns as the gurgling sound of water was heard. The billabong. No finer sight for sore eyes in a place as desolate as this. It gave her a slight spring in her step and as she approached, she brought her horse to stop and started to untie the saddle. The horse’s back was soaked in sweat and dirt. Much like her rider. Taking off the saddle and placing it on a low hanging bough, she then led the horse to the water to drink, patting its side gently. <3>

IceTe3a: He smirks as his sharp eyes gleam with delight, a laughter roars out from his stomach as they once again have escaped death with some well needed money for supplies. As they walked on towards the billabong he could see Annie was slightly more excited than he was, he smirked as they finally made it to the billabong, it was covered mostly by a large cut mountain, with the thick gum bush being the only way in or out it can be missed by those who do not know its existence, he actually has never seen anyone else visit this place before it was like that a lot here. He stripped his horse from saddle and reign as he gave her a solid pat “Easy girl..” he said as he brought her down to the water and left her to her own will, he sat down by the billabong and cupped the water in his hands as he washed his face and neck, a cooling moment as the breeze came through it cooled his skin as he sighed happily “ well, we made off with a good amount but it will go fast.. we need to decide what we need to replace and what we need to get” he of course was thinking about the items that needed to be replaced and what they needed to get, the list was long but priorities were priorities. After resting for awhile he smiled and stood up as he started to collect twigs, pulling off some bark from the gum tree it was paper like and perfect to start a fire with, bundling them all up in a neat fireplace he started to rub a twig against the gumtree bark creating friction until a spark lit and a small flame rose. Quickly tending to it as he helped it light up the twigs until it roared into a steady fire placed with few good logs. The days were hot but the nights were cold, and they needed to eat as he looked up at Annie with a slightly arched brow “What we got left to cook?”

CharlotteCarrendar: – Letting go of her horse’s reigns to allow her to drink and then feed on some grass, Annie put her hands on her hips and looked around the billabong. What she wanted first off was to wash, but the most important thing that she needed to do was ensure they had food. Jack had asked her what they had left to which she replied ”Flour…some salt. Tea..” Thinking for a moment, she then looked to the billabong. ”Could try for some fish.” There was darts of silver movement within the stream, and she didn’t mind trying something different. Annie took off her hat, and smacked it against her side – the dust billowing around her as she then hung her hat on a tree. Reaching up she untied her hair, the red curls falling down and about her shoulders. ”Either that or we try for grubs.” Witchety grubs were a common source of protein in the bush, though they didn’t look all that appetizing. At any rate, she had the ingredients for a bush damper and that could starve off hunger at the very least. Jack had already made a start on the camp fire, so Annie went to see what she had in her swag. Pulling out the bag of flour and salt, along with the tea, she brought them over to the fire side and dumped them on the ground at Jack’s feet. <3>

–
IceTe3a: He watched as she started to look around while pulling her hair out, he smiled as he watched her red locks flow gently down against her neck. Then she talked about fish in the bong or grubs, well if they were the choices he had it would be fish. No one exactly knew how it happened, but billabongs were full of fish in the most part, some say from birds transferring eggs or small fish that get stuck in their feathers others say the bongs are all connected by a underground water tunnel, either way he was sure there was fish in this one. “You can have grubs if you want, but I want fish” he laughed lightly as he came to a stand, stripping his worn out boots off, he rolled up his long jeans and took of his long armed shirt, he looked around in the shrubs as he finally found his hand made spear, made from a strong tree he leaves it here to fish with. “Tend to the fire, I’ll fish for dinner” he smirked as he stood there bare-chested and muscle bound, built up from the hard laboring work he has done over the years his body was riddled with different scars as well as a few prison brandings. He walks down into the water waist deep and stands still with a refreshing sigh “Oh this is bloody brilliant” he smirked as his body was getting cooled down, he stood still with spear in hand, it took a few strikes and waiting for the fish to stop spooking but eventually he got a nice sized barramundi, more than enough to feed the two for the night. they will eat like kings, it squirmed and wiggled on his spear as he grabbed it “Wooo! Dinners up! “ he smirked as he came out of the bong soaking wet, slowly he placed the fish on the ground and pulled the spear out, laying the spear down he unsheathed his old knife from behind his back and cut the fishes throat to let it bleed out as he sat down next to Annie. “So, what do we need to buy with our new found riches?”

CharlotteCarrendar:- Nothing beats a fresh fish meal, especially barramundi – the best fish that you can catch. Annie knew that Jack would rather eat nothing if he was up against just having grubs. ”Fish it is then, if ya can catch it.’ Annie said with a laugh, taking her turn to stoke the fire and add twigs and bark when needed. She sat herself down, peeling off her boots which were well worn and tossed them to the side of her. Annie was still filthy, from the ride through the bush but she would wait before attempting to bathe. Last thing she wanted to do was scare the fish. Annie made a start on the damper, which would last right through to the next day. All it took was flour, salt and water before working it into a dough, then placing the dough in amongst the burning embers of the fire. Be burnt on the outside, but so good on the inside. Not like the bread you would get from the bakers, but this was true bush tucker and saved many a man from starvation. Annie lifted her head when Jack called out how blood brilliant it was to be standing in the cool of the stream. Half his luck. She’d get her turn soon enough. A bit later he came back with his prize – a good sized barra which was wriggling around on his hand made spear. She had to admit, the man could fish like no other. While the fish bled out, Annie was asked what they should do with their new found riches. ”New pants.” Annie replied, feeling the breeze in hers. You could say they were holy. <3>

IceTe3a: He chuckled as he heard her say she wants new pant’s, it was true their clothing was almost worn out, they did need clothing but they also needed to arm themselves and get food.. a new kettle and so much more. He started to gut and clean the fish as he thought up a plan in his head, soon enough the fish was ready to start cooking. “throw some salt on her and she’ll be right as rain” he smirked as he tossed the fish on a smoldering log in the fire to cook, as he looked over at the horses they seemed to be enjoying themselves, they needed to pay a blacksmith to get new horse shoes for their steeds. He came to a stand as he walked over and picked up his swag and threw it next to Annie’s, the fire alone wouldn’t be enough to keep them warm so sleeping together was a smart move. Sitting back down as the smell of cooking damper and fish flew through the air making his mouth salivate. “How about.. we use the gold to get us some guns. Then we can rob a few stores, holding a bank up with a knife just aint gonna cut it anymore. If we arm ourselves we can go rob and hunt for food, may as well hit up the town we get the guns from anyway” his sharp eyes glance over to her with a smirk growing on his lips, it was true if they had firearms it be easier for them to rob stores and they could protect themselves, it would give them the next step they needed to get them to where they want to be.

CharlotteCarrendar: – With Jack back and tending to the fire and the fish now cooking on the smouldering log, Annie pushed herself to standing. Tired and dirty, she started to peel off her shirt that was still wet from sweat. She took it off, unashamed of her naked torso. He had seen it all before and there was no modesty between them. Annie took off her pants second, and then carried them all to the stream. Wading in, she instantly felt relaxed. The cool of the water invigorating. Dumping her clothes on a rock, she dived under the water and then swam a good couple of metres before her head bobbed above the surface. To her tired and aching bones this was sheer heaven, and she floated on her back. Her arms spreading out as she simply enjoyed the moment. She knew she had to wash her clothes, and Jack’s but first she wanted to wash the grime off herself. Annie asked Jack to toss her the soap that they picked up in the last town, and soon she was washing the clothes on the rock, before hanging them up on a low hanging branch to dry. Without a stitch on, she came up out of the water, and rifled through her duffle bag for her only other change of clothing. Hand me downs from her older brothers. Made tough for the environment, but did nothing for her figure. She rang out her hair by hand, watching Jack cooking the fish. The smell making her all the more hungry. Sitting back down beside him, talk came to how to spend their fortune. It never lasted long, what with the items that they needed and guns was on the top of the list. ”I’m all for a good pistol, Jack.” Annie offered, adjusting her sack behind her comfortably. <3>

IceTe3a: He smirked as he watched her enjoy the water before washing their clothing, the fish was cooking nicely and the damper started to let off its sweet intoxicating smell. When she was done and came to sit by him he smiled as he looked her over, not a scratch on her; just how he likes to keep her. “Yeah, a good .45 colt revolver would do us nicely. Then it’s settled, and if we have more we’ll get you new clothing” he smiled as he looked back at her, he didn’t bother worrying about his own clothing he’d wear anything, but Annie insisted on taking care of him. He sighed slightly as the fish finally was cooked, he pulled it off the fire, the heat didn’t bother him to much as his fingers were rough and thick skinned. Laying it down on a fresh gumtree bark he peeled the fishes skin back as the soft white flesh appeared to them both, the best part about barramundi. Taking up the salt he poured some over the fishes cooked meat and smiled “Dig in” as he took a piece for himself and started munching down on it, it was early noon nowhere near dark yet as he munched away on the fish slowly getting replenished he wondered if they should make for the town today, that meant going back through the gorge and to the local towns, any town out this side of the gorge had its own law and was always heavily protected. “Think we should head back through to town before night? “ he glanced over at her and watched her eating.

CharlotteCarrendar: – Annie looked over at the horses, that were both enjoying each other’s company and the freedom of not wearing a saddle. Both riders had pushed them hard throughout the morning, and now with the daytime around noon, there was time to go back through the gorge but they would have to pace the horses. Taking up a piece of white barra flesh which she blew to take the heat off, Annie contemplated what to do. ”So long as the horses can make it without falling lame.” Chewing thoughtfully on the fish, she then swallowed and added. ”Aye, we can go.” She knew that Jack was keen to spend the money that they had stole on equipment, and to be truthful, their food supplies were running low. Living off the land and not going into the settlements meant for hard going, if you didn’t know the bush well. Annie picked up a stick and gave the damper a bit of a prod. She could smell it’s delicious scent and knew that it would be good eating on the way to town. Glancing up at Jack a moment, she asked; ”Was a close call on that ride. I could swear one of those bullets had me name on it.” Wasn’t often that Annie admitted that she had been spooked by one of the shots fired at her. To bleed to death in the bush would be a terrible thing. <3>

IceTe3a: Eating his share of the fish he nodded in agreement, if the horses went lame that would be an expensive issue. Glancing them over he smiled and looked back at her “We won’t ride them hard, by the time we get to town and do what we need to do, they’ll be able to have a short gallop for our get away before we can start to walk them off again” he smiled lightly as he watched her prod the damper, laughing lightly “I swore I got hit, was a bloody ant that bit me though” his laugh got louder as he smiled and munched on more fish. Slowly the fish disappeared as they both ate it dry. Packing up his swag he left the damper for Annie to deal with as he saddled up their horses who were already cooled down and ready to go again. As he walked over he was counting the purse of gold coins “Forty eight.. Forty nine… Fifty.. We have fifty gold pieces, more than enough to buy the guns we need plus belts and spare ammo, with left overs” he was surprised that the purse held fifty coins, he thought maybe 10 at most this meant they had more than they originally thought. More than enough to stock them up with some more food items, weaponry and even clothing for them. He smirked as he took her beaten up pants and shoved them in her bag for later use “Looks like you’ll be getting new clothing soon enough love” he chuckled but he knew they needed to make the money last so he would be using his talents and tricks to bargain deals and con his way into cheaper prices, he waited for Annie to be finished with her meal and watched as she packed up the damper. Kicking dirt over the fire he walked over to the horses and tied the swags on “Let’s get along” he smiled

CharlotteCarrendar: – It was decided. They were going to head off just as soon as the camp was packed up and the damper taken off the fire. Annie rolled it out of the fire and tapped the sides as it was still quite hot. Jack had gotten a start on packing up their swags and the old clothing that had been strung up on the tree branch. He had thought out how to push the horses on the way to town without putting a lot of pressure on them. It was a wise move, and she knew that her horse needed shoeing as well. When the damper had cooled, Annie rolled it up into a large cloth that she kept just for her dampers. It would be packed with the rest of her swag and placed on the back of her horse to be eaten later on. The rest of the cooking supplies would also need to be packed. With the fire having dirt kicked over, they would be ready to set off once again. Annie did laugh when Jack claimed that he thought he had been shot, but it was just a bull ant. ”Well, they do sting.” Annie admitted, not exactly a fan of the ants herself. ”Though, I’d rather that to a bullet anyday.” Wasn’t that the truth? Finding her ribbon, Annie tied up her hair again, and wound it up so that it would be up and under her hat. For one it made her feel cooler without her hair on the back of her neck, and many mistook her for a boy half the time. She was not exactly keen about giving away the fact she was a girl. Annie mounted her horse, which had been saddled up by Jack, and then gave her a bit of a kick to get her going again. They would be heading out of the gorge and relative protection. Hopefully, no one was waiting for them on the other side. <3>

IceTe3a: As they both were ready to go he hopped on his horse and followed slowly next to Annie, the horses appreciated the chance to stop and rest for a while; he knew they wouldn’t go lame but he wasn’t going to take any chances. As they slowly made their way to the opening of the gorge it seemed safe enough, it looked like the coppers had head on home back to their own town, which was not the town they were going to in the first place; neither of them were stupid enough to do that. As the horses trotted along he started whistling an Irish tune, as he smiled looking over at Anne. They both had made names for themselves around the locals, but soon enough he knew their names would be spread and feared throughout the lands. The heat was slowly getting hotter as he took a swig from his canteen and passed it over to Annie “Keep the fluids up” soon enough the town they were looking for came into sight, they had purposely left this town alone as it was the main town for importing wares and such, they needed somewhere to sell their loot and resupply. Coming up to a log tie with a water trot he jumped off his horse and tied the reigns to the pole. “Let’s go see the gunsmith” he said as he smirked, his sharp eyes showing excitement, not many people knew about Jacks cavalryman background, he was a sharp shot and used to be a captain, that was before he betrayed them by refusing orders but the past was all but dust laying on the ground. As they walked over to the gunsmiths store he walked in as a bell rung, noticing a younger man sitting on a chair with a shotgun he had to assume it was loaded, as an elder man stood at the counter. Looking around there were many guns on display from used and broken to brand new among other things. He walked up to the counter and looked over the man “Wat’ll it be, stranger?” he smiles lightly as he gives a nod, “We’ll need two .45 colt revolvers, two belts and 3 extra rounds each, That’s 24 bullets per gun.” he looked over behind the man as the rifles as he examined them closely leaver action rifles would be great for a long distance fight or hunting “And gimme the 50.50 leaver with a few extra rounds too” he looked back at the old man who looked them both over, such an order was uncommon and could be considered dangerous “ Having some trouble?” the old man questioned his intentions as he smiled slightly. “Yeah.. we’re drovers, our boss is pissed, we were held up and lost our guns and the head of cattle to some bloody bush rangers” the old man seemed to relax as he nodded in kind, pulling up two brand new revolvers, two holsters and belts, the extra ammo for all the guns and the rifle. “ That’ll be 25 gold coins, I’ve even thrown in a strap for the rifle” Jack leaned back a bit and looked at the wares and back up to the old gun shop owner, “25 coins?! Are you kidding me? “ the young man leaned forward slightly as the table creaked, “Well either pay the price, or take it up with my son” the old man chuckled slightly, jack turned around and leaned against the table as he looked the young boy over then he got an idea as he looked at Annie with a smirk “How about a wager, If I can outshoot your son, we make it 15 coins, if he outshoots me I’ll pay 50 coins” he knew Annie would have something to say about this but he knew she would trust his judgment for now, he would just cop a beating later. The old man rubbed his beard as he looked over his son who nodded in kind, the old man laughed and shook Jacks hand “Alright but, he’s a great shot brought up with guns. First to shoot 3 bottles 10 yards. We’ll use the store guns and not the new ones. Meet us round back when you’re ready” the old man and young man left the back door open as they left, Jack turned around to Annie as he smirked ”Trust me..”

CharlotteCarrendar:- The ride into town had been a good one, and with the horse tied and close to water, the pair were able to start shopping for the supplies that they needed. Keeping the brim of her hat down, she followed Jack into the gunsmith’s. She understood the need for the guns, but was curious with how Jack would explain why they needed them. Seeing the young fella holding a shot gun and being on guard of the place, while the old man was behind the counter, Annie knew that they had to tread lightly or face being shown the door in a not so polite way. Annie let Jack do all the talking, as she went to look around the store while keeping one eye on the young gent on the chair. The hair on the back of her neck stood on end though, when she heard the price. That was half of all their gold and a handsome sum at that. She was ready to walk out in protest, but that was when Jack decided to make a bet. This had Annie turn fast on her heel, her jaw falling open when he bet that if the young lad could out shoot him, he would pay the fifty coins they did have for the weaponry. Oh, she wanted to drag him out of that store by his ear. It took a great deal of inner strength not to spit out what she thought of the deal. Course, the gunsmith could barely help himself. Getting a chance to see his sharp shooting son teach Jack a lesson. Watching the pair go out the back door, Annie was about to rip Jack a new ass hole, when he smirked and said ”Trust me.” Annie gave him one hell of a dirty look, then went back out the front way so they could then go round the back when Jack was ready to take part in the bet. ”Men…” Annie mumbled under her breath. <3>

IceTe3a: He smirked as he knew a well earned beating was on its way for even thinking about betting their entire gold, and if he lost it all she’d have him dead for sure. He chuckled lightly as he walked out with Annie and walked around the side, there were the old man and the youngster with 6 bottles lined up 10 yards away. Jack winked at Annie and walked over to the old man grabbing one of the revolvers he checked it out before cocking it “ On your count “ he stood next to the young man who was dead calm and preparing to fire the old man counted down from one to three and .. *BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG* Jack let off six shots shooting all six bottles before the young kid could pop one off, the old man stood there bewildered as jack smiled lightly and handed the pistol back. “Nice shooting son, well I am a honest man and a bet’s a bet. 15 for the lot come right this way.” He looked back at Annie and gave her a wink as they walked back into the shop, He handed over 15 gold coins and took the two revolvers, ammo, belts, holsters and rifle “Sorry sir, I do feel bad for outshooting your son. I’m sure he’s a fine shot” the old man shook his head and smiled “You were the better shot today, It’s good to meet other gun slingers, I’ll sure to be telling you if I have any trouble that’s for sure” he smiled and bid them goodbye. He walked out with Annie in tow and smiled lightly as they exit the shop he walked down the path before turning around, walking up to Annie he wrapped a belt and holster around her waist as he slipped a loaded .45 colt revolver into the holster, passing her a few extra rounds he looked up to her and smiled “I had it under control and we saved 10 coins, don’t hit me too hard” he smiled as he did his own belt up and holstered his pistol, slinging the rifle onto his back he looked around for the general store which basically sold all the foods and equipment they would need, after that they would need to get Annie some new threads “Come on Annie, lets hit up the general store” he chuckled as he walked her along the path towards the general store, this time he’d let Annie choose what wares they’d need.

CharlotteCarrendar; – Lucky for Jack, the bet went in his favour. He was a sharp shooter and made like work of the bottles that the old man and his son had lined up. Annie had stood well back, her arms folded over her chest. Jack truly had the luck of the Irish. Each blast of the gun was accurate and one by one the bottles fell. The old man while shocked was an honest one and agreed to honour the wager. ~Well that’s a first~ Annie thought to herself, as she followed Jack out of the store, only to have him turn around and place a gun belt around her waist, followed by the shiny new .45 colt revolver. The weight of the piece truly felt and she couldn’t help but smile at was truly a gift. Annie smirked at Jack as he gave her a few extra rounds of ammo. ”Don’t hit me too hard.” He teased. ”Oh don’t worry, I’ll get ya back for that.” Did she mean it? Having saved money on the guns, this meant they had more to barter with for supplies, and that meant going to the general store. This part of their shopping was up to her, and she already had some things in mind. Entering the general store a small bell rang, and a well dressed man stepped out and went behind the counter. There were barrels of produce and there was all manner of cookware, such as kettles and pots that instantly drew in Annie’s attention. She pointed up to the shiny kettle that would be perfect for a bush fire. ”The kettle please. Pound of flour…and do you have bush honey?” She was always keen on honey for the damper as it went so well together. Annie looked back at Jack and asked. ”What you be wanting, love?’<3>

IceTe3a: He watched as they entered the door, he leaned against the doorframe resting his hand on his brand new gun as he looked around the shop at the wares, he knew they needed quite abit but this was Annie’s department and she knew what was best as he watched her choosing out what she wanted, was that really all? Honey, flour and a kettle? They needed to supply up to last at least a week in the rough, he rubbed his chin as she called him love he coughed slightly and stood up as he looked around the store “ How about some more foods, something to keep meats from going bad, and anything else you can thing of Darling” he smirked slightly as he started to toy around with a few of the wares in the store. He kept a weather eye on the door for anyone else who may enter, as he walked up next to Annie he stood taller than her. “Rope we’ll need some rope as well” he smiled as he looked down at her.

CharlotteCarrendar: – Jack was right, they would need more supplies to help their foods last. ”Salt.” Was the first thing to come to mind. Sugar was deemed a luxury and she didn’t even contemplate it, since they used the honey as a sweetener. Annie caught sight of a bush oven and her heart near skipped a beat. That would be ideal and be perfect for damper as well as cooking a stew. Happily she pointed up at the oven, and the shop owner had to wonder just how the pair were going to pay for all this. Seeing they were armed made his lip twitch nervously. After deciding on a few more food stuffs that could keep, she then turned to wear they had clothing. One of the wooden mannequins was wearing a fine dress, obviously for someone important in town. Annie looked at it with wonder, before then thinking of being more practical and went to see if they had pants and shirts. She picked out two of each and brought them over to the counter where the shop keeper was adding up their supplies. ”Eighteen gold pieces for the lot.” Annie knew they needed the horses to have their shoes done and wondered if she should put the clothes back. <3>

IceTe3a: He watched as she chose all the items they needed, she even wanted to get a cooking oven which would be useful in the long run. As he watched her closely he saw her stare at a long beautiful dress as he smirked and had to help himself from laughing, the thought of a bad assed female like her had ever thought of wearing a dress was hilarious to him but he wouldn’t let her see that he was laughing at her. Watching as she settled for getting new pants and shirts for herself he smiled as he walked up to the front of the shop where they were, watching as the old man started counting up the price. He said it’s going to cost them eighteen pieces, they had fifty to start with and spent fifteen leaving them thirty five.. He knew the man was fearful of them and he smirked a sinister smirk as he pulled Annie back up to the counter. “Sixteen and not a penny more” he glared into the shopkeepers eyes without even blinking, he was trying to stare him down and shake him a bit.

CharlotteCarrendar: – Annie’s eyes opened wide when she heard Jack say that they would pay sixteen and not a penny more. Then she remembered the way they were dressed and the fact they were armed. Heavily armed. That sinister old sneer on Jack’s face made Annie nearly swallow her own tongue. Would the shop keeper accept such a price? A whole two pieces off? There was silence in the shop for a moment and you could see the bead of sweat on the shop keeper’s forehead. The staring competition was getting intense only to have an elderly lady enter the shop. This changed everything. The shop keeper favoured the lady’s custom and the last thing he wanted was her having a heart attack over a standoff over two gold coins. Annie cocked her head slightly to the left as she waited to hear the verdict, and then it was done as the woman approached the counter.”Yes..yes…sixteen. I’ll have my son wrap it all up for you.” Annie released a breath and then smiled at the old lady, who looked her up and down like she was some tomboy, especially when she saw the gun on her belt. The shop keeper was keen to avert a crisis and then came out from behind the counter to turn her attention away, as a young boy came from out back and started to parcel up their purchases. <3>

IceTe3a: He smirked as the shop keeper gave way to his banter sixteen gold pieces that was a whole two gold pieces off that was a lot. Smiling as he looked at Annie who was a bit flustered almost, he chuckled lightly as he pulled out sixteen gold pieces and placed them in front of the shop boy this lefty them with 14 gold pieces left, that was a lot left over seeming to reshoe the horses would cost 6 gold for both horses. He grabbed everything once it was packed up and followed Annie out, he knew she would say something about his harsh ways. Honestly she was the only one who could keep him in line, he enjoyed that fact as he smirked “We still have fourteen gold pieces left, the horse shoes will cost us six, and you have your new clothing so what else do we need?” he thought to himself as he looked around town they actually needed to get a home base of sorts, some kind of hideaway or something, perhaps they should start putting some gold away and discuss future plans. He walked over to their horses as he packed up all the gear into the swags and carry bags on the horses. Leading the horses over to the blacksmith he could feel the heat from inside as he wiped his brow “Need these horses reshoe’d we’ll be back to collect and pay later” the clanking of metal against metal could be heard as a grunting sound of acknowledgment echoed. Smirking he turned to Annie and looked her over “So whats next Darling?” he smirked cheekly.

CharlotteCarrendar:- So far they had managed to save their money from the gunsmith to the general store and gotten much of what they needed to keep them going a good while. The weapons would be especially handy in the coming weeks, if not months. Now all that was left was to get the horses reshoed. At Jack’s calculations they would have money at the end of it, and this was something that they would save, possibly for something more permanent like a place to call their own. For now however, they lived off their wits and their means. With the horses being taken care of, Annie had a wonderful idea. ”Fancy an ale?” she had a wicked gleam in her eyes, but not only that there was usually a card game on in the drinking establishments. Knowing Jack as well as she did, Annie knew that he could hardly resist that. If they were a bit under the weather, they could always find a room at the pub. <3>

IceTe3a: He heard her ask if he wanted to grab an ale at the local pub, his shark eyes gleamed as he smirked a wicked smirk, where there was a pub of drunks there was a card game with money to be had. “Sure, you can be my lady luck” he gave her a wink as they walked over to the pub. Entering inside the pub he walked over and ordered them an ale, flicking a gold coin at the barkeep that would pay for more drinks to come. As he eyes the tables he eventually found one where they were gambling with cards and gold coins, he smirked as he now had eight seven gold coins left after paying for all their drinks. Handing Annie a ale his eyes gleamed into hers as he took a swig and wondered over to the table. With the seven gold coins clinking in his hands he looked around the table and smirked “Mind If I join you boys?” as he placed down his gold coins and his Ale taking a seat at the table, he was drawn into the game of cards as each shared the opportunity to shuffle the deck. He played his cards right, loosing hands and bluffing his way making him look weak and his bluffs always fall through, finally he was the last person to shuffle with him and six other men at the table, he looked down to his stash of coins he had lost a few purposely and won some back now sitting with 8 gold pieces, the pot already had six gold pieces in it to be won. He shuffled the deck and with his slide of hand threw out hands for everyone, everyone got a decent hand but his own hand would trump all their hands leading them into a insecure bet without knowing. “eight gold pieces is the wager” most of the men chuckled thinking by now they knew his bluffs to well and sort after his coins once and for all. With six gold pieces in the pot and him wagering eight that brought the pot to fourteen and there were six other players if they all wanted to take the risk it would be eight gold pieces each leaving the pot at 54 gold pieces. One by one they all took the bait, their own greed, the great hands they held and the thought of figuring Jack out led them all to their doom. Anne knew her role in this, come running over with bad news about a robbery on their establishment making them having to take the gold and leave. Even though they may have lost their winnings the thought that the man they lost to had just been robbed sufficed their greed. One by one they threw down their hands to show, but in the end it was Jack with the strongest hand and he won all fifty four gold pieces, leaving the men with barely anything to go by, he waited for Annie to play her part, honestly she didn’t let him do this to often, he was to good at it and it could easily go sour. He slowly drunk the rest of his ale as he laid in wait, collecting his gold.

CharlotteCarrendar: – Sipping her ale, Annie had kept well out of eyeshot of the men that were gambling at the table. She knew perfectly well how Jack played and she also knew that when the time came, she had to put on a real performance to make for an easy get away. Nothing worse than drunk men who think they have been fleeced by a card shark. Oh, Jack was ruthless when it came to gambling and left many a man without a shirt on his back. Sipping her beer and then putting the empty glass on the bar, she ventured outside – her attire making her blend easily in with the other men that came in and out the door. With her hat down, few would pay her much attention since she dressed like a lad anyways. When she peered through the dirty panes, it was when she watched as the kitty grew and grew. There was more gold on that table than what they had come to town with. Annie counted to herself as the men were starting to show their hands, each one was not a winner. As soon as Jack splayed his cards on the table, Annie knew it was her time to act. Rushing in she reached the table and blurted. ”Jack…bush rangers…robbed the store!” A collective gasp was heard around the inn, including all the men at the gambling table. The worst thing they could imagine was murderous bush rangers riding into town and stealing from them. The sounds of chairs being pushed back came from all over – just the right time to take the winnings and make a run for it. <3>

IceTe3a: He smirks as he looks up at Annie as he saw her run in, her story and acting was spot on everyone had believed her as whispers of fear and robbers could be heard. “Filthy bloody bastards.. I’m sorry boys I need to take my leave and see what.. if anything they left me” he sighed as he took the fifty four gold coins and walked away from the table “I’ll be back again to try my lucky next time! If I still have a store to own that is” he watched as some of the people walked hastily outside to go guard their own houses and or stores, others were wondering if the robbers were coming this way. He walked out with Annie next to him, they were the perfect duo. He smirked as they were scott free, he turned around and looked at Annie“After paying the blacksmith we have forty eight coins left, Gotta love a man who can look after a woman” he smirked playfully as he went over to the blacksmith and paid the man for his troubles. He led the horses out all packed with gear as he passed Annie the purse of gold, as he hopped on his horse he waited for Annie to get on hers before they rode out of town looking like they were in some sort of rush. After a good ride he slowed his horse down to a gentle walk and let out a roaring laugh “Oh stupid drunk men.. never saw it coming” he looked back to Annie and smiled “You know.. you shouldn’t hide the fact you’re a female, make a name for yourself, your true self. People will think another male rides with me and when they see you as your female self they won’t fear you, that could cause issue” he chuckled and gave her a wink“Besides I like your hair down anyway” as they slowly made their way back to the gorge he wondered just what they should do next, obviously they need their own place sooner or later but where.. and how? Perhaps they should build their own place.

Demonstrating true Australian sarcasm and self-depreciating humor that I know you all get.

No offence is intended to anyone so even if your nationality is targeted in these jokes (as Australians are clearly targeted as well ). I am an Australian and therefore I reserve the right to enjoy sarcastic asshole humor at times 😀

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The questions below about Australia are from potential visitors.
They were posted on an Australian Tourism Website and the answers are the actual responses by the website officials, who obviously have a sense of humour.
———–
Does it ever get windy in Australia? I have never seen it rain on TV, how do the plants grow? (UK).
We import all plants fully grown and then just sit around watching them die.
– – –
Will I be able to see kangaroos in the street? (USA)
Depends how much you’ve been drinking.
– – –
I want to walk from Perth to Sydney – can I follow the rail-road tracks (Sweden)?
Sure, it’s only three thousand miles, take lots of water.
– – –
Are there any ATMs (cash machines) in Australia? Can you send me a list of them in Brisbane, Cairns, Townsville and Hervey Bay? (UK)
What did your last slave die of?
– – –
Can you give me some information about hippo racing in Australia? (USA)
A-fri-ca is the big triangle shaped continent south of Europe. Aus-tra-lia is that big island in the middle of the Pacific which does not (have hippos) … oh forget it. Sure, the hippo racing is every Tuesday night in Kings Cross. Come naked.
– – –
Which direction is North in Australia? (USA)
Face south and then turn 180 degrees. Contact us when you get here and we’ll send the rest of the directions.
– – –
Can I bring cutlery into Australia? (UK)
Why? Just use your fingers like we do.
– – –
Can you send me the Vienna Boys’ Choir schedule? (USA)
Aus-tri-a is that quaint little country bordering Ger-man-y, which is … oh forget it. Sure, the Vienna Boys Choir plays every Tuesday night in Kings Cross, straight after the hippo races. Come naked.
– – –
Can I wear high heels in Australia? (UK)
You are a British politician, right?
– – –
Are there supermarkets in Sydney and is milk available all year round? (Germany)
No, we are a peaceful civilization of vegan hunter/gatherers. Milk is illegal.
– – –
Please send a list of all doctors in Australia who can dispense rattlesnake serum. (USA)
Rattlesnakes live in A-meri-ca which is where YOU come from. All Australian snakes are perfectly harmless, can be safely handled and make good pets.
( ie you are so stupid…please feel free to handle all our deadly wildlife >:)
– – –
I have a question about a famous animal in Australia, but I forget its name. It’s a kind of bear and lives in trees. (USA)
It’s called a Drop Bear. They are so called because they drop out of Gum trees and eat the brains of anyone walking underneath them. You can scare them off by spraying yourself with human urine before you go out walking.
(ah the eternally effective yet mythical dropbear. I actually DID get asked about these once. I was kind enough to tell the fearful tourists that despite rumors, they are actually very real bwahahha… )
– – –
I have developed a new product that is the fountain of youth. Can you tell me where I can sell it in Australia? (USA)
Anywhere significant numbers of Americans gather.
– – –
Can you tell me the regions in Tasmania where the female population is smaller than the male population? (Italy)
Yes, gay night clubs.
Only at Christmas.
– – –
I was in Australia in 1969 on R+R, and I want to contact the girl I dated while I was staying in Kings Cross*. Can you help? (USA)
Yes, and you will still have to pay her by the hour.
– – –
Will I be able to speak English most places I go? (USA)
Yes, but you’ll have to learn it first.
Now some typical Aussie humor care of Austen Tayshus.
RIP Doc Neeson.
It was truly sad to hear of the passing of a true legend in the Australian rock music scene.  Doc Neeson, the lead singer of the iconic Aussie pub band The Angels died this morning in his sleep, 17 months after being diagnosed with a brain tumor.  This video which was filmed in 2007 for Rockwiz is how I would like to remember him.  He truly loved to perform and he was loved by the Australian people.  His songwriting contribution to Am I Ever Going To See Your Face Again, Coming Down and Take A Long Line, among many, have become part of Australian music history.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
Lest we forget
IceTe3a: He was dragged in by Dixie as he followed her, his eyes glanced around the pub a lot of Australian items were hung from the walls, from sport jerseys to pictures of famous aussies with signatures, even a telly playing a rugby match it made a smile come to his face, it had been awhile since he’d seen so much Australia around him It really felt like an aussie pub, that’s how it was made to feel anyway but he didn’t mind it’ll do for him, hell anywhere that he could get a good steak and a beer was good enough for him. As he sat down at the table across from Dixie, he watched as Molly explained the menu slightly and then walked off to find a couple of VB’s for the pair. His blue eyes find Dixie’s as he smiles “So, how’d you like the ride? Better than any crotch rocket would give you” he teased playfully as he glanced down at the menu “That meat pie don’t sound half bad, but a reef n beef two of my favorite things. Choices…” he chuckled as he leaned back against the chair. “Cheer’s for this doll, I know you didn’t ave to do it, hell hangin with a bloke like me alone will give you a bad rep” rubbing the back of his head awkwardly as he smiled lightly to smooth the mood a bit, but what he said was true a lot of people tried not to associate themselves with bikie’s so he was used to the solitude by now, although it seemed to him that Dixie didn’t mind all to much that he was a bikie or so he thought, he’d ask her about how she felt about what he was once they settled down a little more.
CharlotteCarrendar .: -Dixie ruffled the front of her hair and tried to put some life back into it after wearing the helmet on the ride over from the tattoo parlour. Molly as always was the gravious host, reminding her a lot of the pub that she was brought up in back in St Kilda. This was the first time she had been back there in a month, having spent most of her time hanging in the garage as the first trimester was a bit taxing on her body. She knew that Molly did a great meat pie, and that would be what she would order, but Logan was having trouble deciding. Such choices. Asked about how she enjoyed the ride, Dixe answered honestly, if not a bit too loose in her description. “Beats sex!” This brought a roar of laughter from around the bar, obviously they all had keen ears. Dixie only smirked and then toyed with the beer coaster as Molly set down a VB for them each. Smiling up at Molly, she says. “I’ll have the pie today, Mol.” She knew Logan could order for himself, and she kicked back as he would do so. When Molly was heading back to the kitchen, Dixie shrugged at the suggestion that her reputation would be ruined for hanging with the bikie. Dixie was never one to worry about such things, especially in a place like Prague. “Never cared what people thought before, Logan, certainly ain’t changing my stripes now. Besides, we make quite the couple.” she joked, cracking open her tinnie and holding it up to Logan’s “Cheers.” <3>
IceTe3a: – Watching Dixie fuss over her hair as she tried to fix her fringe up a bit it made him chuckle slightly “You’ll get used to it” he said with a light smile on his face, he had made a decision on what he was going to eat as he was going to choose the reef and beef. Placing the menu to the side he looked up to Dixie who started talking about the bike and how the ride was better than sex, a couple of the bloke’s started laughing at her as he noticed her toying with a coaster. Out of instinct his eyes glared at the group of men who decided to listen in “Finding something funny mates?” he said in a threatening tone as he waved it off his facial features went more relaxed as he glanced upon Dixie once more with a light smile. She ordered the pie, “Must be a bloody good pie love to pass up beef and reef. I’ll have the Beef n reef mate” he said just before molly left, glancing back to Dixie who started saying how she didn’t care what people thought of her it made him smile the iron of the Sheila as he took his beer in hand ‘ Besides we make quite the couple’ she stated lastly if he had any beer in his mouth he’d either surely choke it down or spit it out; this was not the case as his eyes widened slightly “Couple?” he simply stated as he leaned back into his chair rubbing the back of his hair once more in a slightly blushing manner It wasn’t to visable but if one paid attention they could notice that, As she cracked open her tinnie and held it upto him, he did the same clanking his with hers “Cheers love” as he took in a good guzzle before setting it down and wiping his lips with his arm “ So, why do you stay in this place if you’re in such trouble love” he was still curious about the how’s and whys of the darker side of her life, If there really were Russians about he wondered why his charter in Prague didn’t say anything about it, Perhaps this wasn’t the right time to set up a Investment business.
CharlotteCarrendar : Dixie nervously scratched the top of her head when asked why she was staying in this place if there was so much trouble going on. That was a really hard one to answer. One other thing, she needed to clarify, was when she said couple. “Don’t mind me, I am always putting my foot in my mouth with the things I say. Bit too laid back maybe?” She didn’t want him to get the wrong idea or think she was cracking on to him, that wasn’t her style anyways. The other blokes that laughed got something of a tirade from Logan, which was really nice of him to be so sincere. But boys will be boys and some can’t help themselves. “I can’t fit in a whole steak meal at the moment.” She patted her slightly swollen stomach and then looked nervous when she spoke about her situation. “I’m four months pregnant, and I don’t want to go home to Mum and Dad. They already think I am a failure.” She looked out the window for a moment as she tried to gather her thoughts. Dixie was speaking to someone she had only met twice about very private things in her life. “You probably think I am still a kid, huh?” She said quietly, knowing that she wasn’t that experienced in life, but had seen more than most in her time working at the Death Club. At that point she tried to change the subject. “You’re going to love the reef and beef, its tops.” <3>
IceTe3a: He sat there as she tried to explain the reason of why she said they were a great couple, he blinked slightly as he stood there slightly confused as to exactly what happened and what was going on, shaking it off he came back to his senses “Nah love you’re all ace’s remember? Call me what ya want as long as ya call me doll” giving her a cheeky wink he said it to make her feel more comfortable about what she previously said. “Four months preggo eh? No doubt that asshole that left you is the father? Look don’t get me wrong if you love the bloke you love him, But where I’m from you don’t leave your Sheila alone unprotected and without any fanatical support to help her survive.” He was always a very blunt and to the point man as he chuckled at her asking if he thought she was a kid “ Wouldn’t have taken you out if I thought that now would I” he said reassuring her as he smiled at her “So, gonna keep the child?” he said arching a brow slightly, “If you don’t mind me saying, Raising a child ain’t easy nor is it cheap and having a deadbeat for a man won’t help. But what do I know eh? I’m only twenty eight.” He laughed aloud as he took another sip of his beer “ So you don’t wanna go home that’s understandable. It’s about time you stood on your own two feet anyway love, You’re a fighter you’ll do fine. But to stick here without any support?” he shook his head as he rubbed his chin “ I’m sure Tito helps out where he can, and I’m sure he’ll protect you the best he can. But I’m also sure Tito ain’t exactly, born into this kind of life so he wouldn’t know two shits” he was getting pretty personal and blunt at this stage and in the back of his mind he hoped Dixie didn’t take that to heart.
CharlotteCarrendar : -It was hard to have to listen to Logan lay it all out for her so bluntly. She knew a lot of what he was saying was true, but she was a loyal girl, who made the promise to wait, as hard as that was. Truth was, she was feeling the loneliness, and it made some nights unbearable. The scent of Dem’s skin on his pillow seemed to be fading with each passing night. Tito helped where he could, but he was a man, not a substitute for a lover or a Mother. Molly brought out their meals, as though right on cue, and Dixie showed a warm smile to Molly, as she pushed back a loose few locks of her hair behind her ear. “Looks great, Molly.” She said with enthusiasm. Dixie wasn’t too keen on discussing her private life in front of Molly. He hung around long enough to give them cutlery and the salt and pepper, before leaving them to their meals. Dixie paused before eating and said to Logan. “This is going to sound silly, but I want this baby. It’s a part of me, a part of Dem. I could never dream to harm it.” Dixie showed she had a very gentle side to her, but you could see that this talk was making her emotional. <3>
IceTe3a: He watched Dixie take everything he said in, it looked like it hit home hard as he knew she thought he was right, although this didn’t make him happy having her feel the way she was no female should go through this as his eyes caught Molly walking over with their food, placing it down infront of them he looked at the pie and then over to his own Beef and Reef which looked amazing “Cheers mate, Looks tops” he said as he watched Molly walk off, she started eating as he ate a chip slowly; watching her as she ate she came to say that she wanted to keep the kid and he saw the emotions about to burst out of her in the pub. He knew than and there he was going to help his new found Sheila, as he came to smile “The chips here are bloody great” he said as he took a chip and pressed it against her lips so she could try it, of course it was typical aussie custom to share food without thought. “I understand where you are coming from love, I’ll be around to help you out.” He glanced around slightly trying not to make it to noticeable as he leaned against the table his hues falling upon hers again “I’m looking to open my own Custom motorbike and car garage workshop and mechanic in Prague, I’ll be setting up shop and living on the grounds, she’ll be a big beaut that’s for sure Big enough for a car mechanic shop and a motorbike mechanic shop, round the back I’ll have a nice house built too” he laid out his plans to her as he chuckled slightly giving out such information to someone he only met not to long ago, but she was an aussie and she was a top chick “That back of the tattoo shop is top’s for now love, but with a bubs on the way you’ll need a proper house, so you’ll move into the house round back of the mechanic’s with me” he basically stated it as a fact instead of asking, although this was an aussie way of asking something. “It’ll be safer, you’ll have more space for you and the bub’s and I can keep an eye on ya” leaning back he dug into the rump steak which was cooked to perfection.
CharlotteCarrendar : Dixie didn’t know what to say. To laugh or cry. The generosity of Logan seemed to known no boundaries. Did he actually say he was going to be around, and setting up his own mechanic shop? It was almost too good to be true. She had found a friend that shared her loves for all thing Australian, and he respected her even though she was doing in rough. In a way she still had the heart of the little Aussie battler, and he would know what that meant. Dixie’s smile shone – both genuine and with affection. For the first time in a long while, she didn’t feel so alone. “Yeah they do a good chip. And not only that I know the secret to the special salt.” she leaned in and whispered. “It’s a vegemite extract.” This would probably have him roar with laughter if he hadn’t already spotted it. Sitting back up she cut a piece of the pie and popped it in her mouth, chewing heartily. “You’d do well here with an auto shop for bikes. I know that for a fact. And we can help get the word out through the tattoo shop.” She was trying to be as helpful as she could consider. Dixie twirled the fork on her plate, when Logan offered that she move in with him when the baby comes. It was something she just couldn’t say no too. “I promise not to be too much trouble, least…I’ll do my best not to be.” <3>
IceTe3a: He watched her lean in as his brow arched, she knew the bars secret salt? What could it be, beer he bet it was beer as she leaned in closer he waited for her answer “Vegemite extract” this made him lean back quickly his head flicked backwards as he let out a healthy bellowing laughter, “Bloody oath, No shits? “ he shook his head wiping the laughter from his eyes as he came back to sit properly with a light sigh of relief, “Vegemite really does go great with everything.” As he smiled continuing to shake his head in denial to the fact molly used it in his chips, So she had accepted his offer for her to move in, good he could keep an eye out on her. “No no, the more you bother me the better love, Don’t you go holding back or changing on me, that’s my only rule” he smirks as he wiggled a brow being cheeky, he nodded in agreement as he knew it be a safe bet opening a bike and car mechanic in Prague would profit well. “Love, If you need anything for you or the bubs clothing, toys for the bubs whatever, Just give me a yell” Logan may have only been 28 years old, but he was the second in charge of the Nomads, Internationally that was and being so he had saved up quite the lump sum of cash to fall back on, so taking in Dixie and the bub’s and supporting them would hardly break his bank. “starting with, You’ll need a patch so people will know just who you are” he winks at her as he rubs his chin “ Amongst other thing’s of course, suppose I could always throw the rumor out there that you’re my old lady” as he scratches his head nodding, the title of old lady being that she was taken by him and she was never to be touched by another man in any way, this was known by all who delved in the shadows of society, although he didn’t intentionally mean for her to be his more just the title for protection. He was throwing a lot at her without even asking her as he came to realize this may overwhelm her, coming back to his senses as he was lost deep in thought he must have had the most blank expression on his face as he was scratching his head looking upwards at the ceiling. “Right, questions? Queries? Anything I should know?” he said as he dug into his Beef and Reef once more
CharlotteCarrendar: -She was spot on about the vegemite salt on the chips, and his reaction was so worth mentioning it. Dixie kept giggling as the wife of Molly stuck her head out of the kitchen and Dixie tried to hide her look of glee, like she had unveiled the mother of all secrets. Course, no one else would have caught on, or even thought of such an idea. “Mhm, goes with everything, but I like it with cheese.” she said with a firm nod of the head. Enjoying her pie in between taking small sips of Beer, Dixie was starting to relax more and more in Logan’s company. Talk that he would help her out with the baby and even clothes almost made her choke on her pie. His generosity knew no bounds. Then the mention of her needing a patch. Now, she knew of the importance of these, as well as the codes that go with wearing them. This was serious business. Dixie listened intently and winked back at the biker as he spoke. She wasn’t being forward or cheeky, but just showing she understood what he meant. “I feel a bit young to be called an old lady.” Clearly she didn’t quite get that bit. It might have amused Logan somewhat. “Questions? Hmm. Will you be travelling much when you set up the business?” <3>
IceTe3a: He knew she understood the meaning of being patched to him as he continued to talk about what was going to happen, then she went and said she was a bit young to be called an old lady which made him smile from ear to ear with a slight laugh “No love, it’s a title; Mean’s You’re my lady and no man can or will ever lay a hand on you in any way. Basically it protects you through my reputation” he nodded slightly as he continued to discuss things with her “Now I don’t know how you feel about gun’s but I’d like you to come to a firing range so I can teach you a few pointers. Just peace at mind for me love” as he continued to dig into what was left of his steak already finishing off most of his seafood, he took a swig of the VB before setting it down with a refreshing sigh. He knew she’d ask about him riding around much as he shook his head “Nah love, I’m situated here for quite awhile, Although if I feel the need I am free to ride off whenever I like, Besides I doubt it be good for business if I opened a mechanic shop and just up and left. So don’t worry, I’ll be around a lot more than you wish to handle” he said the last part with a smirk as he finished off his plate before grabbing his VB and drinking that slowly a sip every few minutes, “You’ll need a car to get to the Tattoo shop as well, so we’ll organize that. I don’t expect nor want you on public transport in your condition. Less stress on you the better” he smiled as he whipped out his phone and confirmed the text to a mate saying to buy the large warehouse block about 20 minutes from the tattoo shop, it already had two large warehouses on it at the front which was perfect, leaving a rather large space in the back area for a house and yard, he had already ordered a two story Queenslander to be transported over here, as it should be heading there by now these plans were set in motion way before he met Dixie so everything was just pure timing; The entire place had secure security fencing with CCTV linked to the office and a large heavy gate, perfect for protection. “I suppose I can let you know, the house we’ll be living in is a two story Queenslander, I had it shipped over from Australia.” He said with a proud smile on his face he loved his Queenslanders and couldn’t live in anything else as they were built perfectly, with 5 bedrooms a study two lounge rooms the upstairs lounge room had a huge fireplace, it was all made out of wood including the flooring with a Tin roof, a beautiful veranda running around the house on the top floor a masterpiece.”You’ll love it, she’ll be ready to move into within 3 days, so we’ll need to go furniture shopping, That’s where you come in coz I have no bloody clue how to shop” he said honestly “Oh and I want two bloody big dogs but wanna get them as pups” he nods as he was a huge dog fan “Any requests?” he smiles slightly as he tries to reassure her “Welcome to the family love” as he extended his arm out to the side of the table to ask her to come to a stand and take his hand, sliding his chair away from the table as he sat down in it still.
CharlotteCarrendar: The young Aussie blinked in surprise. He was already arranging shipping of a Queenslander style house over here. Was that even possible? Dixie had heard about those types of houses, and had even spoken to a few Queenslanders in her time. The thought of one being all the way here, blew her mind. She had finished her pie, and placed the cutlery down gently, getting a serviette to wipe her mouth. “Guns? That sounds way cool to go to a firing range. I’ve not done something like that before.” She was getting more and more intrigued with Logan. Was there anything he couldn’t do? On talk of her getting a car, she nearly choked. Her own car? Never again having to use the buses. What a relief? Being able to be independant was such a gift. “I don’t know what to say Logan.” She was practically speechless. All this from a fellow Aussie, who she now felt she had known a lot longer than a few days. Dixie got up from her chair and went around to where Logan sat and gave him a big hug. Her eyes almost teary from everything he had said. “Thank you, Logan.” she whispered in his ear. A few of the patrons clapped. Cheeky buggers had been listening. <3>
IceTe3a: He chuckles slightly as he knew she was happy, although her love for guns was a surprise for him as he nodded “Yeah I want you to learn how to fire a range of weaponry just in case you ever need to also you’ll have your own pistol. Smiling as she looked emotional on it all “No need to thank me love, I’m just helping a fellow aussie out as best as I can” he smiles more as she came around to give him a big hug he smiles and pulls her down to sit in his lap “No probs love, you’ll never be alone again” he hears the blokes at the bar clapping and cheering as he smirks “Oh fuck off you bloody wankers” he chuckles as he throws a grand and a half rolled up at molly “Drinks on me” as he whips out his phone to take a picture of the two “Smile doll!” he gave a cheeky smile as he winked for the camera taking a picture. “Two more over here please Molly” he said chuckling as he arched a brow “Whatcha think tito’s gonna say love?” he said as he looked up at her as she was sitting on his lap.
CharlotteCarrendar: – Dixie laughed as she was pulled down into the bearhug and then with her on Logan’s lap, he takes a selfie with her included. She gave a big smile with her head leaning next to his as he winked. They really made a pair, and that was obvious to everyone at the Bar. The roar of the crowd at the sight of the roll of money thrown at Molly to buy drinks for all had even his wife smiling. Wasn’t hard to tell why? Molly changed the TV station to one that played classic pub rock, just like back at home and then did something of a dance off to the bar, with more following him to put in drink orders. Molly’s wife brought over two more drinks for the Aussie pair, as Down Under played through the stereo speakers loud and brash. Taking Logan’s phone and taking a picture of the crowd at the bar, that were all making faces and thumbs up, she answered his question about what Tito would think of his plans. Sitting down again on his lap, Dixie answered. “Probably go off on some tangent in Italian, which I can’t understand anyways, so no skin off my nose.” She laughed. <3>
IceTe3a: His smirk widens as he hears the roar of the crowd responding to his free shout of drinks for awhile, as his eyes flicker across the crowd people were giving him a friendly nod or a thumbs up in thanks and recognition. The tv station came on as it started to play down under loud and proud he rocked out to it for a second when molly’s wife came over giving the two their drinks he gave her a cheeky wink in thanks as he watched her walk off. Dixie grabbed his phone and started taking snaps of the dance off at the pub and people drinking. As she came back around she sat on his lap again and told him Tito might not take a liking to the idea which made him shrugs “Tito will be fine, But for now let’s show these wankers how to really rock out to this song” he chuckled as he grabbed her throwing him on his right shoulder to left, he passed up her VB and grabbed his as he started waving everyone to crowd around and started singing the song loud and proud “Do you come from a land down under!!! Where women glow and men plunder” taking in a swig of VB as he bounced Dixie on his shoulder he was showing off his true blue colors any proud aussie in the bar would surely crowd around and join in on the song “ Can’t you hear cant you hear the thuuunder you better ruun you better take cover” he said as he started laughing aloud. After awhile of friendly singing and skulling beers he ripped off his vest and stood there bare chested as he turned to show everyone his fresh ink “This sheila turned me into her living artwork, How good is the drawing, right?!” after showing off his ink that Dixie designed for him he dropped Dixie onto the floor softly on her own to feet “Care to dance with a rough house like me?” he smirked as he grabbed both her hands into his and started pushing them back and forwards between the two “Molly play something we can rock out too” he smirked as he looked back down to Dixie before taking a sip of his beer.
CharlotteCarrendar: – Dixie whooped as she was lifted up onto Logan’s shoulder as he belted out Down Under as only an Aussie could. This brought a wave of stomping feet and the odd whistle from the thirsty patrons of Molly’s cafe. “This is so old school!” Dixie squealed as she couldn’t stop laughing at Logan’s antics. She never remembered Demetrios letting his hair down like this. Dixie bounced on Logan’s shoulder till the end of the song, where he finally set her down on the ground once more. “That was fun!” she enthused as Molly was going to put on another song for all to rock out too. “Aussie flavour!” Dixie sung out, and let Logan take both her hands. “So long as you don’t dance on my toes, I’m down.” Molly yelled out, how about this one. It was the Boys from the Bush by Lee Kernigan and Dixie rolled her eyes. “Country? Logan, you fancy this kind of music?” It was a pretty safe bet that he did, after all he did tell her he was into the outback way of life, so why not the music too. She had been pretty chuff when he showed off his tattoo to the rest of the bar. Not only that he was dancing bare chested with her. Was she a lucky girl or what? <3>
IceTe3a: – The tunes came rocking on as he heard Dixie say not to step on her toes he let out a friendly laugh as he gave her a wink “I’ll try not to” he smirked playfully as the whistling and hooting from others in the bar were heard. She screamed out that she wanted something aussie to play and Molly didn’t disappoint as Boys from the bush came bashing through the speakers he was almost offended she asked if he liked country instead he smirked as his lips parted and started singing country with the song “We’re the boys from the bush and we’re back in town, well the dogs in the back and the foot goes down” he was singing the song in cue with the song as his country voice shined out, spinning her on her heels with one of her arms he caught her in his arms as he bent her at her back forcing her to bend backwards into his arms before raising her to her feet “hows that?” he smirked as he started dancing with her leading her moves all old school rock and roll swing style as he spun her, picked her up and flipped her then placed her back down on top of her own two feet, he pulled her in so her feet stood on top of his and her chest was pressed against hers, he was messing around at this point as he placed a hand on her back and raised their other hand in the waltz position as he raised his chin up and started to do the one two three step than smirked and glanced down at her as he lost the concentration to mess around with the dance.
https://i0.wp.com/nellacreative.com.au/lk/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/thenewbush__62958_zoom.jpg
CharlotteCarrendar: – Logan was totally into singing it out and proud. His country vocal style impressive to say the least. Dixie’s cheeks flushed pink as he whirled her around the small space that wasn’t meant for dancing, but they having a good go at it. It felt like something out of a road house music clip, and all she was missing was the cowboy hat. Dixie was used to dancing, just not like this and certainly not in public. The beer was now flowing freely, and some of the boys linked arms as they joined Logan in the chorus. It was almost too good to be true. Hundreds of thousands of miles away from home, and yet here it was, a classic aussie pub atmosphere in the middle of Prague. No one would have believed it if she had told anyone. From country dancing, to having her up on his boots, as he tried to get her into the waltz dance position, Dixie shook her head and laughed. “That was epic…but now I think I am breaking your toes.” The music changed again to something a little slower and Dixie placed her right hand on the back of Logan’s lower back. If she was going to dance this way, she would do it properly. <3>
IceTe3a: He watched as she laughed at his attempt to waltz it’s true he wasn’t really good at the whole posh side of life and one would be right to expect Logan didn’t know how to waltz but it was simple as he arched a brow “Hardly, you ain’t that heavy love I think I can handle it” he chuckled as he responded to her saying she’d crush his toes. Feeling her right hand on his back he smiled as he looked down at her, swaying slowly as he moved for the both of them to the music the pub settled down slightly as the coupled got together and joined in on the dance, It was a typical aussie thing If there wasn’t room, make room it was that simple as they swayed and span to the song until it ended. Waving them off once more he smiled as he lead her back to the table they were sitting at he pulls her down to sit on top of his lap, he leaned into her back as he cracked open a couple more beers for them “Reminds ya of back home, don’t it?” he chuckled as the music continued to play in the background “This has been tops so far, cheers for showing me this place” as he smiled and glanced around at the people in the bar it seemed a lot more lively, all it ever takes is one aussie to get the rest of them going as they were all off doing their own crazy things.
CharlotteCarrendar:- Time had gotten away from them after enjoying the Aussie traditional fare, and the dancing. Dixie checked her watch and then shot a look outside as the city lights were coming on. Logan thanked Dixie for showing him this unique place in the middle of Prague, and she made something of a mock bow. “My pleasure. Oh…I wanted to ask, since you have to take me back to the tattoo shop, my place is just in behind and I was wondering if you would be up for a portrait sitting.” What she was asking was if she could draw him for her own collection. “Really capture you….that is if you don’t mind?’ She was cautious to ask this since he had pretty much spent the whole day with her. Secretly she was dreading going back to the garage alone. Spending time with Logan awakened her need to be close…to someone. She drew a small face on the table with her fingertip as she waited for his response. <3>
IceTe3a: Finishing up his beer he placed the empty bottle on the table as he let a burp, thumping his chest harshly as the sound could be heard he glanced over at Dixie who was looking outside his hues flicker outside noticing it was getting dark, right she had a curfew he had almost forgotten as he looked back at her she asked him to come back to her place so she could draw him, he was bewildered as he leaned back in his chair and rubbed the back of his head “Draw me eh? That’s a first” he leaned in and gave her a cheeky wink “How could I deny my new sheila friend a request like that, after all you’ve done for me!” he chuckled as he stood up and waved the crowed down to a quite hush “Right you bloody bunch of drunk bogan’s we’re off and I expect you aussies to continue to party on into the night until the coppa’s come knocking to tell you to keep it down” he smirked and then flipped the birdie at them “Then tell em to fuck off and continue rocking!” as he chuckled slightly he gave them a farewell wave, grabbing Dixie’s left hand with his he pulled her up and led her outside, giving a long stretch he lit a smoke and smiled as he took in a drag passing the helmet to her, “Right love, you’ll drive us home” he jingled the keys in front of her face as he knew she enjoyed driving the Harley he wouldn’t stop her from having a time of her life. Walking over to the bike he sat down on the big beast as he slid back allowing room for Dixie to sit up front so she could drive, kicking the stand back he took the weight once more onto his legs making it easier for her to start the bike and drive off, glancing over at her he smirked “Come on love, let’s get cracking”
CharlotteCarrendar:- When Logan made an exit he didn’t go quietly. Far from it. He had made his mark on the people of the cafe and got a rousing cheer as well as some laughter from the inebriated patrons. Even Molly was out and giving the Aussie salute, while his wife Greta waved a tea towel as Dixie and Logan departed. Out on the street Logan passed Dixie her own helmet once more. “Me, drive again?” She asked with a wide smile. It was something she didn’t need to be asked twice as she quickly put the helmet on properly; tying up the buckle under her chin. She gave the helmet a pat before throwing a leg over the machine. Adjusting herself in the seat, she was cheeky enough to say. “I make this look good.” She poked out her tongue as she placed her feet in the right holds, and started the bike up with a delicious revving sound. So hard and knarly. Yet there was a beauty to it that was unique. Easing the clutch, the bike took off down the small street, turning a right and going off into the town traffic with a beaming Dixie riding the bike back home to the garage. The lamp lights were coming on along the side of the road, and with many people having gone to their homes and the working day done, it was pretty much deserted on the streets. This just made it all the better in Dixie’s mind, as she opened the bike up and increased the speed. Even if the cops saw her, she didn’t care, this was a night to remember. <3>
IceTe3a: – He watched as Dixie got excited over driving the bike again, she was quick to place her helmet on and jump onto the bike; he watched as she got all the footing and holds correct she was learning fast. He had to chuckle out aloud “You’re a natural love, I’ll make a bikie out of you yet!” he said teasingly as they took off slowly down the road. The night sky was clear and beautiful as the stars were shining bright, there was a crisp cool in the wind as it brushed up against them, but the roar of the engine was more than enough to keep their blood pumping warm, they were cruising at this point as everyone else had gone to sleep or where in their homes doing whatever they did before they rested for the night, Surely the echo’s of the Harley’s engine would turn some heads to their windows as they both passed by people’s houses not coppa in sight as he watched the street lamps flash by “Not a bad place if you have the right people around you” his phone goes off as he rustles into his pocket and glances at the text, stating ‘Hey mate just wanting to let you know you’re now the owner of a brand new queenslander placed in the back of your new warehouse complex, We’ll install all the tools for both garages tomorrow as we spent today making sure your house was set in alright, just like you asked we placed down turf grass for a big backyard and fenced off the house from the warehouse for privacy. You’ll need to go furniture shopping yourself though. Cheers’ ugh.. Furniture shopping really? This’ll be interesting as he leaned towards Dixie “Love, House is done I’ll need to get you to come take me furniture shopping for the house she’s as bare as a babies bottom, and since you’ll be moving in it’s only fair you get a choice as to what goes in there” he smiled as he leaned back. The bike enjoying the ride as he took a last drag out of his cigarette and flicked it away blowing the smoke out he leaned into her scooting up close so her back was pressed firmly into his chest. It didn’t take long until Dixie decided to open up the engine a bit more, the bike responding in kind with a loud roar as they went down the street at a nice speed they were getting close to Dixie’s place as he wanted to see just how fast she was willing to drive, smirking he leaned in “Go on, give her a good booting” he said as he wrapped his arms around her waist to keep her in place waiting for her to open up the engine even more.
CharlotteCarrendar: – Permission given to really open the bike up and Dixie had to catch her own breath as she accelerated the bike faster than she had ridden it before. Logan had already shouted over the roar of the bike that his Queenslander was ready and he would need to go furniture shopping. That was fast! The thought of shopping at this point in time was the last thing she was thinking of, instead concentrating on the road, negotiating the tight turns, as she started to take tours of small back streets, then across expansive bridges, that were dotted with lovers and people out to enjoy the night air. The swirl of dust and ragged newspapers were left to fill the air behind the powered machine, whose chrome pipes and tank gleamed against the reflection of the street lamps. This was living. This was what it was all about. Throwing caution and direction into the wind and just going wherever the road took them. She wanted to let out a huge Coo eee, but refrained, instead leaning back hard into Logan’s chest. Maybe this was the life for her. A biker’s old lady. The more she thought about it, the more she liked it. A sneaky grin appeared on her crimson stained lips as she went the full way around a roundabout and finally headed home. <3>
IceTe3a: – They both jolted as the bike took off in a flash, she was daring and had gut’s this was obvious to Logan as he chuckled “That’s the way love!! Bloody beauty!!” he shouted at the top of his lungs not caring who heard, they drove around the city, crossing bridges as the ocean breeze set in against their skin, squirming against her he was taking off his jacket as he wrapped it around her for extra warmth, his body produced enough heat to keep him warm even in this cold temperature, she really was enjoying herself as he watched people pass them by, couples out for a moonlight stroll enjoying each other’s company, to people walking their loyal dogs. He smiled as she leaned back into his chest he wrapped his arms once more around her waist giving her a firm comforting hold “This is living” he simply stated as he continued to enjoy the scenery that constantly exposed itself to them, the beautiful nightlife of Prague with its shimmering lights from buildings were almost calming in a unintended way. Holding onto her as she did a full lap around a roundabout he smiled, she wanted to have some fun he was going to give her some fun, kicking her feet out from the gears and brakes he placed his own instead as he gripped her hands with his own as he smiled “Hold on love” there was a long straight up ahead “Time to show you just what a Harley can do” kicking it down to second from 5th gear it made the engine roar loudly, as the tune of the bike came blasting out of the chrome mufflers, the front wheel instantly picking up as he kicked it up to third they were doing a wheelie screaming down the street for a good 200metres before he kicked it into fourth and landed it down perfectly. Kicking her feet back into place he leaned in the stubble on his face rubbed against the skin on her neck “Ready to take control again?” he said as he let go of the handles and wrapped his hands around her waist one more time, he was that trusting of her that he knew she’d take control of the bike without having to have him wait for her to be ready, they were heading in the right direction for her place, as his mind flicked back to her asking to draw him, he wondered how he’d look drawn into a picture.
CharlotteCarrendar: – All sensibility, all caring for your own safety went out the window as caution was swept to the wind, when Logan took control of the bike. Dixie trusted him completely and nodded in acknowledgement that he was going to show her how to ride the bike to the extreme. She released a loud whoop sound as the pressure of the air around her increased with the speed. Her eyes dazzling as they were clocking an unbelievable speed, when he got the bike up on one wheel and were like that for another 200 metres. Dixie’s lungs were set to explode as she drew in her breath and held it in place. The bike soon dropped back down to the road as he lowered the gears back to fourth and then again kicked her feet into the right places to take control of the bike again. The thrill was almost hard to describe. Her heart pounding through her chest as this one moment cemented in her mind a love for the bike and what Logan could do. “You bet!” Dixie cried back when asked if she was ready to take control of the machine once more. Dixie knew the way home from here, and it was done at a good speed, with shops being nothing but a blur of colour either side of the street. The light of the bike illuminating the stretch of road before them before making that last turn and bringing the speed of the bike back down as she pulled the bike into her own driveway – going past the side of the Tattoo shop. Tito had gone home for the night and taken his Mamma with him. The bike finally stopped and Dixie cut the engine, taking off her helmet and glancing back at Logan. “It’s not the Ritz, but its home.” She got off the bike and went to give the helmet back to Logan as she went to open the garage door. Inside was pretty dark and Dixie flicked on one of the ultra violet tubes which blinked a few times, so Logan could walk his bike inside. <3>
IceTe3a: – He chuckled as she replied to his question asking if she was ready to take control and take control she did as she gripped the throttle and cluck once more and they took off at great speed, everything flashing past them even if they had passed a coppa they wouldn’t bother as they wouldn’t be able to catch the two on the bike. The bike never overheated or played up even once, she was modified for speed and comfort being the upmost thing Logan preferred whilst building her from the ground up, the bike never let him down and always kicked into gear every time. As they came to the home stretch she brought the bike back to the normal speed of the roads, the engine quieting down but still purring loudly like a kitten being pet. Turning into the street they passed the tattoo shop which was now closed, Tito obviously had gone home for the night; Logan would hear about it from Tito the next day for keeping Dixie out to late he didn’t care though as they had a blast, finally Dixie cut the engine as they rolled off to a stop he smiled as she jumped off and tried to pass him the helmet he waved it off “Take it, it’s yours now” he smiled as he stood up on one side of the bike holding it up “Besides don’t think that’s the last time you’ll ride this beast” he chuckled loudly in his thick aussie accent. Watching as Dixie walked inside flicking a few lights on she opened the garage door allowing him to wheel his bike in, pushing the heavy beast into the garage and set her on her stand leaving the Harley to cool down for the night she earned a well rest as he closed the garage behind them he smiled glancing over to Dixie “So, gonna scratch me up huh? Where would you like me” he chuckled at his own cheeky response as he gave her a wink, leaning against the wall his bare back pressed up against the cool bricks as he folded his arms into his chest.
CharlotteCarrendar: – Gripping the helmet with both hands, Dixie quirked a brow with a slight tilt of the head. “You sure?” she responded to his suggestion that the helmet was hers. You could see that her face was still glowing from the ride and the excitement hadn’t left her yet. “I admit, I want to ride again. Words fail me on how good that felt.” Her voice had a higher pitch than normal and she spun around with the helmet and went to place it on a large aluminium storage rack. The garage was typical of what you would expect, except half of it was like a small apartment. A Queen sized bed with a big skull print doona on it, large closet. TV with a coffee table and a couch that looked like it could seat six. Everything was well used, and nothing bright and shiny in this girl’s place. There was a small bathroom off the makeshift lounge and on the other side of the garage was a kitchenette that didn’t look like it was used much. It wasn’t untidy, just didn’t look that lived in either. A desk had a lap top on it, but the part of the room that stood out as her own was a wall that was covered in her art. Impressionist drawings of people and places but it was the faces and body work that took one’s interest. She captured people well. Their very nature seemed to reach out to you from the images. She had a true flair, a talent for this sort of thing, but was humble about it. Dixie saw Logan lean against the wall with his arms folded wondering how she was going to draw him. Taking off her own jacket she tossed it on her bed, then pointed to a small dining chair. “You could straddle this chair with your arms folded on the back rest, and showing off that beautiful ink on your back.” She wanted him to be comfortable while she got him to pose. <3>
IceTe3a: – He smirks as he looks around the room paintings and drawing everywhere, they were really good as he looked at the details shown in the pictures, he glances over and sees the tv and coffee table and her bed, a typical room nothing more nothing less as he smirks “Better than some of the cattle shacks I’ve been in love” he watches as she throws off her jacket and he glances around the room again, taking note of everything he saw, he glanced back to Dixie who was now staring at him. He arched a brow as he came to a stand, she had asked him to sit on a chair as he chuckled and walked over and looks down at the chair, he straddles the chair as he leans his chest in on the backrest, he scratches his head as he folds his arms against the backrest and glances around at the artwork, “You really do have talent in this art stuff love” he chuckled as he glanced back behind him to her, “this ok love?” his pistol hanging a half out of the back of his jeans as it rested against the warm skin of his back. He squirmed slightly as he pulled a cigarette out and lit it, leaving it to hang in-between his lips as the smoke trailed up to the roof of the room he took in a deep drag and blew out the smoke “Shit, sorry I hope you don’t mind if I smoke love. I’ll put it out if it bothers you” he chuckled as he was so used to just lighting up everywhere no one ever hassled him about it, but he had to be polite as it was her house and she was with child so it was probably not good for the baby either.
CharlotteCarrendar: – Dixie was getting her sketch book along with her art kit when Logan took the chair as she had asked. He had lit up a cigarette, which she really couldn’t deny him. Smiling as she walked past him to get a chair herself, she waved her hand as though to say it was okay. “Ashtray is on the table, and you’re fine.” She set down her art supplies on the table, then on sitting down, she took out her hair from the tie and let it fall around her shoulders as she made herself comfortable. Dixie was just wearing her tank top and jeans, and with a bit of a kick she took off her boots knocking them under the table. A softness appeared on her features as she got herself ready to capture Logan’s likeness. “VB’s in the fridge, if you want one before I start.” She was thinking he might want one to relax, but it was still the right thing to do. His compliment of her artistic talent had her blush again slightly. “One day I hope to open a gallery, but for now I am happy to be an artist of the people.” Noble, sure but that doesn’t make much money. She flipped open the sketch book and splayed out her pencils, before picking the right one, and starting with the outline. In the background you could hear Aus rock on the sound system, which she turned on when she got home, the song playing was by the Hunter’s and collectors.
IceTe3a : He smiles as he grabs the ashtray and places it in front of him, he watches her as she collects her art and sketch gear sitting down near him he continues to watch her as she seemed to have relaxed. He watches as she kicks her boots of they go flying across the floor as he chuckles “There they go” he smiled as he waved off her offer for another VB “nah love I’m right for now, you just do your thing and I’ll sit here” he smirked as he shifted his weight in the chair. His ears perk as he hears some aus rock play through the speakers his head bobs slightly up and down “Now were talking” he chuckled as he glanced over to her “Bringing the party home huh” he wiggles a single brow as he takes another drag of his cigarette and ashes into the ashtray, placing the cigarette back in-between his lips he sits still so she can start sketching him, as a question pops into his head “So why you wanna sketch my ugly mug anyway hun” he laughed out loudly as he started singing to the song.
CharlotteCarrendar: – Dixie was already concentrating, when Logan was enjoying himself as he sat on the chair being her model. And a noisy one at that. Dixie’s lips kept creeping up into a smile every time she heard him. Bringing the party home? She had her own files of Aus Rock on her lap top and played it often when she was home. It was a way of reminding herself who she was and where she was from. When asked why she wanted to sketch him, she paused for a moment, tapping her pencil on the sketch pad as she went to answer. “it was my way of getting you to come home with me.” Now that sounded terrible if you thought about it, but then she winked, being the cheeky girl she was. “I wanted to capture the Logan I have come to know on paper. I think you make a wonderful subject for my art.” She had to wonder what he would make of all that, as she went right on back to drawing his likeness onto the paper. You had to admit, she was good and fast. <3>
IceTe3a: -He was leaning against the backrest as he nodded to the music he could hear the pencils scratching against paper as Dixie did her work, he smirked as she stated she had a whole laptop full of Aus rock music that she always played when she was home “that’a girl, be a proud aussie” he chuckled as he fisted the air before going back to his pose, he took a drag of his cigarette as he choked on it from hearing her next answer, blowing the smoke out he turned around with a smirk against his face “And here I am” he gave her wink a return wink before turning his head to the original pose, finally she came out with something that made a bit more sense as he smiled lightly, “That makes sense, the Logan you have come to know huh, Sounds like you have me all worked out” he chuckled as he arched a brow “Oh a subject of art am I” he said teasingly to get a smile from her, as he heard her go back to drawing he glanced around the room and over to the bed “You need a new bed, I’m going to destroy that one with you” he arched a brow slightly as he nodded “You’ll have to show me where I can get some new furniture and come help pick shit out, like I’d have a clue about fucken furniture” he laughed softly as he shook his head.
CharlotteCarrendar: – Dixie let out a laugh when Logan mentioned the bed being broken. He was half right, the bed itself was on its last legs. As for new furniture, she was a bit unsure of where to go for that in Prague. She almost wanted to suggest Ikea, and knew that would bring a blast of aggression no doubt. Everyone knows you get lost in their stores, and the furniture is harder to put together than a Korean sound system’s instruction manual. “You could try the markets and auction houses, if you want something a bit dated.” That was one idea that she thought wasn’t bad, but if he had a whole house to furnish, he would need to spend a few days going through the shops to buy it all. “I can help you in the morning, if you want.” She offered, still drawing as she spoke, till finally she set down the sketch pad before Logan. The impression was remarkable, the way she captured his profile, the shading and of course the most recent addition, the tattoo. It was true, Dixie was a natural. “What do you think?’ she asked, hands on hips as she stood beside him. <3>
iceTe3a: – He listened to her advise as to where he should go furniture shopping he scratched his head “An auction really? Cant I just get it all in one fell swoop” he sighed slightly as he heard her offer to help him shop the next morning which he returned with a thumbs up “It’s a date!” he said with a smirk, after a few more minutes Dixie came strolling over to him with the picture in hand she shows him as he arches a brow. She really was good, the picture was lifelike as if he was staring into a greystyle mirror “Jesus fucken Christ, that’s scary good hun” he chuckled as he came to a stand and gave her a big hug, “Damn straight you’re helping me shop for furniture you’ll need to help choose the shit too you know” he chuckled as he went over to her bed and kicked it lightly, it made a weird noise and he thought he broke it more “Oh shit” he stated as he turned around to face her “I so didn’t just break it more” he said blinking lightly at her.
CharlotteCarrendar: – Just the thought of trying to get a houseful of furniture in one day made her head spin. But he was determined, so she was willing to try. So the plan was that they would go the next day. She laughed as he was really taken with her sketch of him, but surprised by the hug, which did feel good, she had to admit. So it was a date. Dixie started to pack up her art supplies when she heard an odd groan come from her bed, right after Logan kicked it. That didn’t sound good at all. Logan’s face was ashen as he professed his innocence that he didn’t break it anymore than it already was. Dixie gave a shrug and laughed. “It’s just a bed. That is why God created couches.” Luckily it was more than big enough to sleep on. Dixie chewed her lip, and twisted her foot as she asked. “Do you want to take the broken bed, or the couch?” She was asking if he would like to spend the night. <3>
IceTe3a : He smiled as she glanced over and waved off that he broke her bed more so than what it already was, which was a relief to him he glanced to the couch and chuckles “That’s true couch’s are great to sleep on” he smirked as he watched her pack up her artwork, so tomorrow they’d go and buy new furniture for the new house that they both would soon live in together, he arches a brow as she offered either the bed or the couch he looks at both and than back at her “Honestly, I was just going to hit the floor. But whatever you want is fine with me” he said as he placed his pistol on the coffee table and stripped his shirt off, folding it up next to his gun he came to a stand and yawned slightly “Beer and bed two of the world’s most awesome things” he gave her a wink as he walked over and smiled “So what will it be love, the bed or the couch? Although I doubt the bed’s safe for anyone to sleep on. May hurt yourself” he said only worried about her safety as he had vowed to protect her from danger, although a bed was hardly dangerous, glancing over to her he gave her a reassuring wink as he threw her pillows on the couch and pointed to it for her to go lay down on the couch and he’d take the floor.
https://charlottecarrendar.files.wordpress.com/2014/04/02e35-emo-girl-tattoo.jpg
CharlotteCarrendar:- Dixie smirked, and then gave a salute as she watched the pillows being thrown onto the couch. She had to admit, the couch was a lot more comfortable half the time. “I’m going to go shower before bed. Make yourself at home.” She said, tearing off her tank top as she went into the bathroom and closed the door. This would have left Logan to have a chance to look around the small garage, or fix himself a blanket on the floor. The new day would bring a whole lot of activity for them both. Finding furniture and Dixie having a new place to live. Dixie could be heard singing in the shower as the water was running. She had a happiness to her voice, and that came from not being alone anymore. Was this the start of a great friendship or something more? Only time would tell.
