Derek grinned as she spoke. He hooked his thumbs into the front of his breeches and cast a pair of blue eyes across her form “I believe you’re right” he said, smirking in response. “I fear he had forgotten actually…but that is to be expected when his thoughts are currently being other wise occupied” Derek chuckled and gave her a slight wink “On his wife to be, of course.”. Derek chuckled and took her hand gently. He placed a soft kiss to the back of it, before casting his gaze up toward her eyes “Come my lady” he grinned and raised up again, taking her hand gently in his. He tucked his wife to be in by his side and took of toward the training grounds. The huge raised stadium was the pride of the castle, many a knight having done his time here and having had left a champion. “My lady needs to changed i think” Derek said, bemused as he glanced over her dress. “or you could fight me in a skirt, which i wouldn’t object too” Derek grinned. Heading out into the training area he dismissed the few other people in it to the outskirts to give himself and Violet somewhere to train. He drew ‘Dawnstar’ from his sheath and tossed it from hand to hand, testing the swords weight. As ever, it felt perfect. Derek smirked and held the sword at an angle as he found Violet again “Well?, shall i fight you or my shadow first” he smirked and gave her another wink, obviously enjoying being cocky about his sword fighting.
The King suddenly had a fabulous idea.
“Well then, a walk in the garden sounds delightful, and just to make it even more so, I shall accompany you, and bring with me, my favorite book of hymns, and shall sing to you, my Dove.”
Yes…he was going to follow her, step for step, and sing the joy of his God to her and all that listened.
What an Angel.
“Such lovely idea from you, my King. Then come with me.”
She said as she stretched out her arm, and moved her hand, like she was calling him to get closer to her. She indeed looked beautiful in white and with that hair long. But then again, she always thought she looked better in dark colors and hair tied up, not like this, but its for her husband wishes. When he got closer to her, she took a simple hold of his hand, and took a step to the front, closing the gap between them, as she planted a kiss upon his cheek. With this done, Metia let go off his hand, and turned around, as she began to walk towards the outside of the castle, so she could go to the beautiful gardens from the castle. Her both hands would be placed in front of her dress, as she walked with firm steps, and a confident expression her face.GardensReaching the gardens, Metia’s light eyes scanned around the are they were within, as she was trying to find the perfect spot, for them to sit down, without getting her dress dirty, since it was white, she had to be way more careful with this dress than with any other dress she used. Another reason why she hated wearing white.
Her eyes finally found a perfect bench, behind the fountain that was placed in the middle of the garden, the bench was actually against the fountain, making people enjoy more the sound of the water falling. Picking up the sides of her dress, Metia walked up to the bench, and when she got there, she slowly sat down, fixing her dress a bit, before look up at her husband, with a lovely smile, waiting for him to sit down and start with his hymns. The early he started, the early this would end, right? Well, she hoped.
Reaching the bench where his beloved sat herself down slowly, he showed off his pearly whites, and turned elegantly seating himself beside her. The very birds twittered in the trees, and butterflies flew around, with their rainbow like wings, fanning such pretty colours. A doe even emerged from behind a small shrub, and two white rabbits hopped out nibbling clover, while the King took out his tattered book of hymns.
“I just know you are going to enjoy my hymn to our Lord….ahem…cough cough…”
King Henry then launched into a powerful song, his arm reaching out, and he even knew most of the lyrics off by heart. With his perfect pitch, being an Angel, he even had some of the house staff come out from the Castle, and share in this magical experience.
The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell.
It goes beyond the highest star
And reaches to the lowest hell.
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled
And pardoned from his sin.
O love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure
The saints’ and angels’ song.
When hoary time shall pass away,
And earthly thrones and kingdoms fall;
When men who here refuse to pray,
On rocks and hills and mountains call;
God’s love, so sure, shall still endure,
All measureless and strong;
Redeeming grace to Adam’s race—
The saints’ and angels’ song.
Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made;
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade;
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.
When he finished, many of the staff clapped and some were even moved to tears at his beautiful rendition of the Hymn, the love of God is great.
“I bet I will, my love.”
She replayed him with a soft tone of her voice, as she just waited for him to start. He had a beautiful voice, but she’d rather listen him saying other stuff and not this. This was rather boring for her, annoying, disgusting, it bothered her a lot, and if he wasn’t her husband, she would have already made him shut up long time ago. Her expression still remained like she was enjoying what she was listening to. She was always staring down at the water from the fountain, her finger tips, slowly touching the water, as she made random trails, she was basically keeping herself busy with the water, so the hymns of her husband wouldn’t annoy her that much.
As soon as he was done, she noticed loud claps behind her, which made her jump slightly from her seat, she wasn’t really paying attention to who was around her, so she didn’t noticed other people from the castle stepped in, wanting to hear their King. Who would enjoy hear such thing? Ugh, this people was way too pure for her, well, their King is an Angel. Her parents really couldn’t get her other husband? But no, they had t o pick the most pure creature an Angel. At least the King Brax was a vampire not as pure as her husband, and he was wicked, she enjoyed that, yet a mistake happen. She got pregnant of him, lied to her husband it was his, and when the baby born, the maids told her husband the baby couldn’t survive. Metia remembered her husband wanting to see the look of the baby before bury him, but Metia never allowed such thing, and as an excuse she said she felt like she failed and she didn’t wanted her husband to see her “Failure”. Since she was crying pots back then, he respected her and never saw the baby. But then, he wanted another child, because he wanted to replace what they lost, forcing her to get pregnant, luckily for her, this time it was indeed from him, and they had a beautiful daughter, Selene.
“That was wonderful, my King. Always such lovely voice.”
She finally said with a bright smile, as she began to clap, gently and softly, like a lady should do.
